The pillows were a bit low, but you can solve that by asking for extras, or bring your own pillow.

The location of Hacienda Taina, is excellent, because you are not close to the town center and you do not have so much noise and people around, but at the same time you are close, if you have a vehicle in which to move. The breakfast is very simple, but very good, it is prepared at the moment by very kind and courteous people. They are the same ones that clean your room and attend to all your needs. Upon our arrival we were received by the owner of the hotel, a very kind and friendly man. He has very good recommendations to eat in terrenas.

Tremendous experience. A hidden gem located in Las Terrenas. Not beachfront as described, but the location is also convenient, isolated from the confusion of the city, with easy access to all places. The hotel itself is beautiful, you can see the details in every corner. It was built with care, so that one can enjoy and rest. So much peace and tranquility. The room has plenty of space, with air-conditioning, ceiling fan, small refrigerator. Very clean as well as the bathroom. Hot water and amenities included. The outside area is gorgeous. A large front yard, a beautiful pool. A nice place to rest. The breakfast itself is a must. Fresh fruits, fresh juice, coffee or tea, eggs with ham and cheese, bread, butter… delicious. And the last but not the least. Don Henrique, the owner, is a gentleman. He was managing himself the guests and making sure everything is perfect. Thanks a lot Don Henrique for your hospitality and warm welcome.

Can't complain about a thing!

The breakfast was lovely and we looked forward to it everyday. It usually consisted of a selection of fresh fruit, fruit juice, coffee, eggs (optional ham & cheese added), tomatoes and avocado. Perfect way to start the day! The staff (shoutout to Valerio and the kitchen/housekeeping crew!) was incredibly helpful and kind. Valerio helped arrange our transport to and from the airport, coordinated our scooter rental and also recommended some fantastic restaurant options. The breakfast crew always greeted us with a smile in the mornings and prepared the most delicious scrambled eggs. The grounds were beautifully landscaped and the perfect place to read a book on a lazy, late afternoon. The location is away from the main strip and while walkable, I would recommend either renting transport or going via moto-taxi. We loved that we could retreat from the buzz of the main strip to a calm and relaxing home-base.

We found one cockroach in the bathroom that we killed. Also in such a beautiful place we think there should be hand soap provided in the room.

The management, Valerio is an incredible host and person. He always goes the extra mile and is probably one of the most excellent hosts we have ever met, and just a really sweet, caring and kind person. He just makes you feel at home. Also the place is so beautiful and it’s extremely quiet which you for sure will need after being out and about in Las Terrenas. The breakfast is absolutely perfect, it’s so tasteful, fresh warm bread, fresh juice every day, egg, vegetables, and something to look forward to every single day. We would definitely stay here again if we ever come back to Las Terrenas.

Our room was on the shadier side so it was more difficult to dry towels and swimming costumes - but not a major issue.

This is a little oasis of calm, tucked away in its own tranquil grounds but just a short drive to the restaurants and beaches of lively, charming Las Terrenas - so the perfect location. The layout of the hacienda, set around a gem-like pool and within beautifully landscaped gardens, was simple and elegant with the rooms arranged around the pool area. Our room was clean and spacious, our host charming - and breakfast, served across the lawn in a little thatched dining room, was absolutely delicious. With only a handful of rooms and an adults-only booking policy, this felt really special.

Everything was great! I only regret we couldn’t have stayed longer.

The hacienda is just beautiful, located in a calm part of Las Terrenas (5 mins to the beach by car), nicely equipped and very well maintained. The absolute highlight, though, was the staff, everyone is smiling at you, breakfasts were delicious, and the host Valerio gave us many helpful tips for what to do (not only in the Samaná peninsula but also in other parts of the island) and even helped us organize a tour to the Los Haitises national park and Cayo Levantado. Grazie mille, Valerio!
