We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

United StatesAlthough the food was good, the buffet could have a little more variety, but the steakhouse, Italian restaurant and the fondue restaurant were all really good. Also we couldn't go on the beach due to the amount of seaweed but the pool made up for that.
The hotel was nice and close to all our excursions. Everyone was friendly, the food was good and there was literally a party every night! Also, we had access to 2 other hotels on the property along with the casino, which is cool because there's a club inside the casino!

BrazilThe staff is motivated by tips and are not always ready to serve well.
The beach was full of sargassum so we preferred to stay in the resort pool which was fantastic (it is big, clean, beautiful). The food is varied (from different countries) so it has options for everybody. What truly exceeded my expectations was the availability of the resort to let us stay, use and eat at the resort after our checkout time. It helped a lot and was really helpful.

JerseyLinks to the local area outside of the resort could have been better. Also the beach was full of seaweed limiting access to the sea.
The whole resort felt relaxing, the staff were friendly and helpful, the food was good and it was nice to be close to nature too & not concrete high rises.

United StatesThe air conditioner didn't seem to work properly in my room. Never got confirmation that maintenance came as requested. Standard resort food, for the most part.
Size of the room is exactly what was pictured. Each room had their own balcony. Friendly staff who make sure you have a great time. Amenities and daytime activities made it easy to relax.

United StatesThe property was ok, but the staff wasn’t very accommodating when it came to shoving problems. We had to keep physically walking to the front desk to get things that we needed. My friend got the upgrade on premium services and received none of the services and they refused to give her a refund. My cousin had bugs in her room and other 2 sets of friends didn’t have working air. This resort almost ruined my birthday trip.

United StatesThe beach has so much seaweed. It was unswimmable. The staff tried its best to keep up, but the sea realllllyyyy took over. You hardly saw anyone swimming in 5 days. The room air aircondition was less than cold. Now I've read about this so many times; that's why we asked clearly for a room on the 1st floor. The bathroom doesn't have a door to close while you're in the shower. And because I went with a friend, it was kind of awkward getting dressed or taking a shower.
The surroundings and location of the hotel was spot on we used viator for transfer to hotel which was very inexpensive. The Italian resturant was to die for. The staff was amazing including the shows. We loved it there and our room was on the first floor right in the middle of it all. Its small and beautiful and my housekeeper made sure we had extra towels and stocked fridge

NetherlandsThis resort is very nice but absolutely not five stars. When we entered the room, we first had to clean up the dust ourselves; Dust everywhere including on the shelfs of the wardrobe, in the bathroom and on all the furniture in the room. Not what we expected from a FIVE-star resort. The door from the wardrobe hung loose, we immediately told the housekeeping lady and she told me that maintenance would fix it asap. They never came… Despite the fact that the same cleaning lady came every day to clean the room, (and therefore saw the wardrobe door that we had to take out because we wanted to store our clothes standing against the wall) nothing happened. The lights above the nightstands were oxidized and the overall state of the room was not what we expected for the price of $2500.-/week! The bathroom was like an open space and the toilet doesn’t have a door that you can close/lock. So you really must know your partner if you have to go… Our overall impression is that the resort is quite old and should be closer to a 3-star rating. Another point is that not all the resort restaurants open every night. I can understand that maybe because of low season they made this decision but I think they should mention this before you book!!! The house wines (only 1 white, 1 rosé, 1 red available) are good for a broad public but if you don’t like it you will have to buy a bottle at a very elevated price. More choice for a five-star resort was expected. The reception has an excursion desk but if you want to book an excursion, they are a bit shady about the price. We wanted to book an excursion but the price mentioned by the guy seemed us a bit high. Then he asked us what the price was that we had seen for the same excursion online and that was a bit weird in my opinion. When we looked it up later it resulted that the hotel asked 3 times the price of original price of the excursion company. I understand that there has to be a commission, but 3 times…
I liked the All Inclusive/Adults only concept. It is really nice to have a vacation without screaming and yelling kids. The resort was nice and big and had a beautiful garden & lobby, the staff was friendly and attentive. The entertainment in the evening was nice as well. The food quality in general was good and the local drinks were just as nice as the “A” brand ones, so no complaints there. Breakfast was a good buffet in a semi open air environment and that was pleasant. The pool and the pool bar and its staff are excellent! Lots of fun and it gives you really that vacation feeling. Pool entertainment was nice as well but very short, an average of like 10 minutes per event. The private beach is a plus as well, beautiful and quiet. At the beach there is a bar/snack bar/restaurant that is open 24/7 and that’s a plus as well.

United StatesA call waking us up at 8.20 am on the first day by a women asking if everything was ok with the room. Instead of apologizing for waking us up she insisted that we have to come down for breakfast. “After breakfast you can sleep as much as you like” she said. That didn’t make much sense… we just unplugged the phone in the room after this incident

United StatesI was only unhappy with the food. The breakfast and lunch were good enough, but I found the dinners disappointing. It was edible but I've definitely had better.
The grounds were very pretty and well maintained. The staff were friendly, accessible, and very accommodating. The resort itself was small, which is what I wanted.

SpainWould love to go back in better weather!
We had a 10-day stay at Punta Cana Princess Adults Only, and overall, we had a fantastic experience. Despite some mixed reviews we had read beforehand, we found the hotel to be well-maintained, comfortable, and a great choice for a relaxing getaway. Room & Facilities Our room was well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was large and very cozy, ensuring restful nights. We also appreciated the terrace, TV, sofa, fridge, and even a jacuzzi, which added a nice touch of luxury. Everything was clean and in good working order, which was a pleasant surprise given some of the concerns mentioned in online reviews. However yeah it would be worth to do some maintenance and upgrades to the rooms - that would be great. Food & Dining Experience We thoroughly enjoyed the food at the main buffet and the à la carte restaurants. The Steakhouse and Mare Nostrum were our favorites—excellent meat dishes at the former and fresh, well-prepared seafood at the latter. The buffet at the Adults Only resort had a great selection, and while we also tried the buffet at the neighboring Princess resort, we preferred our own. Although the other buffet had a wider selection of desserts, it felt more crowded and, in our opinion, less hygienic. Finally really enjoyed the Santo Domingo coffee at Mare Nostrum (they have a coffee machine in the bar near the beach). Atmosphere & Resort Comparison When deciding where to stay, I was torn between Punta Cana Princess Adults Only and the larger Princess resorts nearby. After visiting the others, I’m extremely happy with our choice. The Adults Only resort is smaller, which means it’s better maintained, less crowded, and more peaceful. The overall atmosphere was more relaxed, making it perfect for couples looking for a quieter getaway. Weather & Activities Unfortunately, during our stay, the weather wasn’t ideal (kind of weird for February tbh) - lots of rain, wind, and rough seas.

ItalyThe room conditions were not really as expected. Some of the things in the room (furniture) were broken. Plus, we had only one plug near one side of the bed, not really enough if you have more than 2 things to charge. The cleaning was not really great either, they kept forgetting to leave us things in the room, such as towels and toiletries. The buffet, as I said before, had amazing food, while the other restaurants that we've tried did not reach our expectations.
The location was very good, the staff was very friendly and helpful. But the best of the best was the buffet, where there was a great selection for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and the food there exceeded our expectations. Another good thing was that after check out, we could still use the facilities of the hotel, without extra fees.

SpainClean , internet conexion .
. The beach and pool entertainers are very friendly, fun, most of the waiters are also nice, but there were other waiters who were angry and sometimes the way they spoke was rude. The internet connection is bad, that should be improved. The cleaning service is not very good. The first time they came to clean my room, they did not clean the bathroom, they did not pick up the trash, . Then when we went to the nightclub the security was very rude to us, he asked us in a very rude way that we had to show him our bag. The food and cocktails are lovely .
