Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

ItalyThe hotel is working on renovating the rooms floor by floor so request a lower floor for a newer room. The Italian restaurant wasn't open so we ordered from the menu on a nice patio with the sunset behind a mountain. The WiFi connection in the room wasn't working well.
The staff were amazing and extremely friendly. Everyone working at the hotel is helpful and courteous. We requested to change our room and were moved to a newly renovated room with a view of the Nile. The breakfast buffet was decent, as well as the dinner buffet. The boat is very easy to get on and off the island.

United States of AmericaEverything. Very unclean. Restaurant staff kept picking up the food with their bare hands and eating the food on the corner during breakfast lunch and dinner as if the restaurant staff didn't get food to eat. The water despenser used during breakfast had bugs floting inside. Now we will come to the room 1) bed sheets smelled really bad 2) one of the bed sheets had snot stains on it 3) bathroom was very dirty and showe area was very slippery as it had not been cleaned in ages 4) while flushing the toilet all the water came out from the toilet joint. Not because it had over flown but because it wasn't put together properly to begin with. 5) cleaning staff didn't clean the room and left all food and in room dining plates in the room. All in all it was a terrible experience
Nothing about the hotel

United Arab EmiratesThe hotel definitely shows its age, with creaky, slightly bent doors and dated furniture calling for a much-needed renovation. Our sleep was less than restful on shaky mattresses, and while the staff were friendly, that extra spark in customer service seemed missing. Our experience with the hotel’s currency exchange process, however, was less than straightforward. Initially, we exchanged US dollars early in the morning at a rate of 45 Egyptian pounds each. Yet, just a few hours later, a different manager offered a rate of 40, suggesting a personal attempt to profit from our exchange. This didn’t sit right with us, and upon raising the issue with Christeen, she immediately stepped in to rectify the situation, ensuring we received the fair rate of 45. This episode, while resolved thanks to Christeen’s intervention, highlighted a concerning approach to customer dealings that could detract from the overall guest experience.
Our stay was alright, but there’s room for the hotel to enhance its guest experience significantly. A special shout out to Christeen for being an excellent host and well suited for Guest Relations role.

United KingdomNever mind its dated interior, there is a certain je-ne-sais-quoi about the place. Maybe it is its Soviet-style 1980s architecture, with its large volume of an atrium, angular shaped balconies and suspended staircases with brass balustrades, or its location on the quite island in the middle of the Nile, but from the moment we stepped from the boat, we felt nostalgically serene. The hotel was not crowded. We had the pool to ourselves for a few hours. The staff was nice and more efficient than in a few higher end places we had stayed during our Egyptian sojourn. We loved taking the private boat to and from the hotel, especially in the evening, the tasty French fries, and the pool. Christeen, the lady in charge of guest relations, was amazingly helpful. Good value for money.

United KingdomSlow WIFI and cold swimming pool.
The hotel was really impressive. Beautiful and spacious rooms. Easy to get around for my elderly mum who struggled walking. Very helpful and kind staff. We accidentally booked wrong size rooms and they changed our rooms for bigger ones free of charge. The staff made our stay memorable. The food was really delicious and kids under 12 were eating for free. Will definitely recommend that hotel.

United States of AmericaThe property is run down. The owners should renovate or do a better job maintaining things. It’s old, and dingy. The carpets in the dining room were coming up. The sheets on the beds were pilling. It’s dark and quiet which makes it feel awkward and deserted. The bathroom was an insane design…shower head was pointed directly at the wall instead of your body and could not be turned in any direction, toilet was nearly under the sink so you have to sit off to the side to use it. No ATM. Overpriced laundry. It’s just a no for me.
The only good things about this hotel is the staff who do their absolute best given the circumstances. They are all so kind, friendly, and accommodating. I also really enjoyed the food! They serve Egyptian food which is really cool and it’s delicious!

United KingdomAlmost everything was disappointing and of sub-par quality: the rooms are old and badly maintained, the windows are NOT double-glazed, the food is bland and simply mediocre, the cleanliness is visible, the bathrooms have leaks, the check-in staff is unengaged and clearly not trained for international standards, the big comfy boats were docked and old feluccas took us to Aswan and back, there are smokers all over the hotel. I could continue. In summary, the room was NOT valued accordingly to the quality, we paid $145 per night.
The highlight of this hotel is the location, it's undoubtedly beautiful. The guest services manager Christine was really helpful and attentive, she did her job really well.
