Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomWe had an amazing holiday in this idyllic peaceful haven hidden away from the tourist areas. The manager Mohammed, and Adbul, couldn't do enough to help us, looking after us so well, it was like being with family. Anywhere we needed to go, they took us. The BnB is in a lovely bedouin village, really peaceful with goats and camels walking around the streets. The view of the mountain as you sit at breakfast and at the pool is stunning. You can actually walk onto the mountain from the property and also into the desert. The nearest beach is a 20 minute drive away but Mohammed was always there to take us and pick us up when we needed to go. The rooms are comfortable and tastefully decorated, the food's fresh, with salad straight from the garden. And as an added bonus, there's even a friendly cat, Kitty, to have a cuddle with. We'd recommend this place to anyone who wants a peaceful rest in a family-like atmosphere close to both the tourist areas and to the desert. We will definitely be back.

NetherlandsThere is no Uber service. So if you want to go to the beach or city Mohammed will arrange you a Taxi, or even bring you himself, if it’s convenient.
Everything was perfect. Was looking for a peaceful place to relax and make some plans for my holiday. All interior and exteriors are colorful, artistic, well maintained and most importantly: very clean! On top of everything: Host Mohammed is truly caring about your stay, he will arrange anything you need for you, which makes this place a treasure for people that just want some sunbathing and relaxing in peace.

GermanyHowever, it's worth noting that the hotel is a bit far from the city center, requiring a taxi ride of more than 15 minutes to escape the desert surroundings.
I spent 10 days alone at the Sinai Old Spices hotel, and overall, my experience was more than satisfying, especially considering the relatively affordable price compared to other hotels. While it may not be the most luxurious option, the atmosphere allows for relaxation, enjoyment of the swimming pool, and a meditative silence in the middle of the desert. Mustafa, who managed the hotel facilities and services, was genuinely caring, kind, and helpful. Thanks to him, I not only had a comfortable stay but also gained insights into Sharm El Sheikh. It felt like having a good friend to talk to. You can also expect a nice inclusive breakfast, accompanied by a lovely cat.

HungaryThe place is absolutely amazing if what you look for is peace and retreat from the crowds. It is removed from the sea and the center, but you can get there in 10 minutes by taxi for about 200-300 Egyptian pounds. Ale (employee and chef) is available all day long and fulfills all your requests and needs. You get breakfast every day and the dinner is also recommended if you don't want to get down to the center every day. There is a local market a few steps away from the place where you find some local food and fresh fruits for very little money. The place is calm, quiet, it is more than ideal for relaxation, reading, and long conversations with your travel partner(s). The overall atmosphere is about the silence of the desert, keep this in mind. On the practical side, communication with the management (Helen the owner and Mohammed the manager) is excellent, they also provide airport shuttle which is absolutely recommended. Highly recommended place, if you are clear about what you are looking for, this place will not disppoint you at all.

United States of AmericaI didn't know about the Villa until the end of my stay, it's amazing. That the suite I will be booking on my next visit and I will invite my friends to join me.
I stayed here earlier in the week and it was so delightful I had to return. The atmosphere, the friends I was making, I was treated like a VIP guest and this was just the way Mouhammed ran the B&B. We were valued, each of us, and I will be back.

Sinai Old Spices B&B is so peaceful that you can hear the birds song. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The property and pool are breathtaking. And Mohammed the manager, gardener, and driver is also an excellent chef, he serves up a delicious and filling breakfast and healthy four course dinners with fresh fruit and juices.

FranceThe hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. They helped us with all the tours we took and gave us lots of tips about the city. The hotel isn't on the beach, but it's super accessible because of the driver the hotel provides who is always on hand to pick you up and take you around. Breakfast is good and they also provide lunch and dinner options.

United KingdomLocation; although offering the perfect environment for relaxation and we liked that very much after doing a very full on trip all over Egypt we would have liked to have had more access on foot to local shops and supermarkets. We needed to take a taxi if we wanted to go anywhere.and go through security. There is a small local.shop next door selling soft drinks etc which was good and at local prices
If you are looking for a quiet and chilled location away from the busy tourist places this is it. Its very quiet and peaceful and lovely for a relaxing break. The rooms were comfortable and we slept really well. Sinai old spices has a lovely vibe and you get a very personal service from the guys there. Mohammed was great and was there for transfers and provided taxi if needed at good prices and Akhmed was excellent with everything from breakfast to diner, great guy. It's a small bnb which we liked with more of a family oriented feel which again was nice. Breakfast was great, fresh fruit salad, varieties of pastries, vegetable salad, click of omelette and cheeses, yoghurts, the choice was really good and included in our price. Mohammed sourced fresh fish for our evening meals aswell which was very nice and beer was available at a reasonable price to, I'd recommend the local beer, Stella

United KingdomDifficult to get trips as they had trouble entering the area due to security checks to pick us up. Its off the beaten track, but fine if you like that. No kitchenette(but stated there was one in the room when we booked, same also for the man in the next room), so no way to cook your own food and no restaurant around to eat out, except at the hotel.
Peace and quiet, away from the main parts of the hassle in Sharm. El Fana beach 20 mins taxi ride, only 100 Egyptian to get in includes free sun beds huge umbrella's and a bottle of water....and of course the most glorious reef to see all sorts of fish, turtles, eels etc
