Staying at Agroturismo Itxaspe was exactly what I needed. The views are surreal — cliffs, sea, and sky all blending into one absolutely breathtaking horizon. The hosts were kind and welcoming, and there’s a calm energy to the whole place. You’re a bit off the grid (and the road up is narrow), but once you arrive, it feels like time slows down. It’s the kind of place that stays with you — peaceful, simple, and full of quiet magic.

Fantastic location. Grand view of Bay of Biscaya. The small road leading to the place was so scenic. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Good, spartan breakfast.

Just a recommendation, DO NOT DRIVE THERE ALONE AT NIGHT on arrival! It’s a very tricky road. During daytime it’s just fine… but arriving at night can be scary.

The access road was a bit challenging but ok for a careful driver.

Spectacular views from a lovely peaceful room. Friendly owners and excellent breakfasts. The hotel is in a vibrant rural location surrounded by lovely walks. Hopefully we will return one day.

The breakfast did not change at all while we were there and was a little unimaginative. There was a kitchen but no facilities for making hot drinks during the day. Access could be better signposted.

The location was exceptional with fantastic views; although the road in is not for the faint hearted. However, once travelled it was less of a shock than the first time. The pool was wonderful but unfortunately the weather broke while we were there and we did not get the chance to use it as we would have liked. The welcome from, and care taken, by the owners could not be faulted.

No aircon in rooms, had to leave doors open but no air coming in. Hardly slept due heat. Poor WiFi. Trouble getting on the WiFi. No fridge in room. Furniture very dated Room not very comfortable, no pictures or cushions or anything which made room more appealing Bathroom towels were very crispy and need replacing. Other people had already given this feedback No towels for pool Lots of CCtv in and around property - bit off putting when sunbathing. This property could be massively improved. The rooms were far too basic for my tastes The walk to beach area isn’t too far but very pebbly and steep. Hotel could offer a lift into village service which I’m sure guests would pay for. We got a taxi one night and it worked out well. It was a big mini bus which could have took more people.

Owner/receptionist seemed stressed and quite unwelcoming at times. Rooms are a bit bare, and entrance to building/car parking not clear nor signed. Balcony chairs tired.

Booked for 3 nights only stayed 1, stayed in larger room ,walls were dirty, one falling apart at bottom,,couches and chairs had covering to hide stains, tvs really small , beware of one lane narrow road to get to it , Kitchen had old used up pot pans bring everything if you want to eat there., no sugar salt pepper paper towels est. Could be nice if cleaned and painted est.. thanks
