Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.

The parking was tricky because of the apartment's proximity to the beach. Most days we had to park a few minutes away from the apartment and walk back down to it.
The bungalow was in a great location and was spacious and well equipped. The bedrooms were a very good size and we appreciated the welcome water, milk and basic supplies. The pool was fantastic and not too crowded, we managed to get sun loungers under parasols every time we went down. Great size pool and depth (2.4m).

Not much at all. There was limited hot water which wasn't a massive issue given it was good weather but about the only thing really.
Location was great. Very comfortable and kitted out apartment. Balcony got sun pretty much all day. Pool was really nice. Antonia was on helping hand via WhatsApp and came to check in on us. She even found an electric toothbrush charger for us as we'd forgotten ours. Very clean and well presented - would definitely recommend for families.

We had a few issues with wifi and a light bulb had gone but this was all resolved very quickly so we have no complaints. Would definitely recommend.
The apartment was in a brilliant location. It was lovely and clean and the host kindly left us some water, wine and some supplies which was very kind. The bathrooms had lovely hot water all day. It was perfect for our family and we would definitely like to return next year.

The bungalow was great but if you want a beach holiday don't go in July. The Cala Gran beach was so busy you wouldn't have wanted to go to the beach. The pool at the Bungalow was a life saver.
The location was excellent. The pool was essential given it was July.

A few extra pillows would have been nice - minor detail. A few more sunbeds around the pool as some days they were all taken
Location was amazing. Fabulous view of beach and near to all restaurants and shops. Pool was an added bonus. Antonia was extremely helpful and addressed a problem with the aircon immediately. 2 balconies and 2 bathrooms was a bonus.

1 or 2 more pieces of furniture would have been helpful in main bathroom (to put toiletries on) and in bedroom by mirror.

The beds were uncomfortable, the kitchen is basic and small and very difficult to prepare meals . There is no Awning on the sun terrace which is to hot to sit on in the day . No basic washing up clothes/ sponges or cleaning products available. The tv is in German or Spanish only. The pool is lovely and heated but the furniture provided is very old and a let down for such a nice collection of property's a lot of noise from the local restaurant " Piccos " The refrigerated Vans come every day , more than once and stay for ages with the generator running which is annoying.
the location is great , right next to the beach and very close to town . The pool is heated and a very big . the cleanliness of the apartment was brilliant . Enough room for 2 adults and 2 children or 4 adults .

The location of the Bungalow is excellent: not only is the centre of Cala D'Or a couple of minutes walk away (at most) but the beach is less than a minute, downhill. There is a fantastic inlet there with clear azure waters that was absolutely beautiful when I went. The location is just far enough from the centre to be peaceful but close enough that you don't miss out on anything. The Bungalow itself was very well looked after and set out; nothing was missing and the kitchen exceeded my expectations for facilities and cooking tools completely! I really enjoyed my stay here.
