The bathroom had no ventilation and became damp very quickly. The tap water is non potable. The bottled water provided tastes of bromide which is not nice.

It was a great experience far away from everything. Perfect for really coming to rest and enjoying the flavours and colours of an idyllic bay with great snorkelling opportunities. The staff was super friendly, in particular Zuriko en Catalina, who made our stay even more pleasant. Apart from the views also the food is absolutely wonderful (my wife is a cook and she was stunned). Would definitely recommend!

Lack of easy access to potable water. Insufficient daily supply provided for 2 people, especially when tea/coffee making facilities are provided in the room. There is a pre pay dispenser in reception, that is available only during manned office hours. Potable water is a basic need and should be freely available 24/7. As a bare minimum, the hotel needs to make guests aware of this before they arrive.

A real off piste treat. Access is a little more challenging due to the relatively remote location, but the drive is worth the effort. Cala Joncol offers a tranquil environment free of noisy urban distractions and plenty of environmentally-minded practices. The meals offered, including the buffet breakfast, were freshly prepared and good value for money.

The water is an acquired taste! Full board good value and good quality but no choice. Able to adapt the fixed menu to meet vegetarian needs though. Didn’t seem to be any other places to have food in evening so half board only option, but the place to be for lunch is defo under the olive trees in the garden ( a La Carte). Need to make this clearer when you sign up.

Great location, hotel is off the beaten track and tucked into a beautiful bay. Great swimming and stunning views from the balcony of our room and from the breakfast terrace. Lovely walks up onto the headlands too. Very welcoming place to stay (our dog loved it too!)

This is a difficult place to review, personality 100%, great restaurant, lovely rooms and attentive efficient employees. It’s unusual to find such a gem with beautifully designed public areas and a terrace fit for a movie set. A credit to the owners who have gone above and beyond to create something so unique.

The location is great and conveniently placed for walkers on the long trek from Roses to Cadaques. Nice laid back feel to the place.

Secluded and tranquil, off the beaten track but worth it for those willing to make the drive down dusty, unpaved roads. Beachfront + swimming pool for those who just want to relax. However plenty of activities for the restless as well - abundance of trails (hiking, trail running, bike riding), kayaking, diving, etc. Limited wifi (in common areas but very weak in the rooms) so perfect for those seeking respite and wanting to reconnect with nature. Service was warm and hospitable, owners are always on site and very involved. Dogs welcome (big +, but with extra cost). Very cozy stay, clean & simple rooms but with amazing outdoor amenities you spend very little time in them anyway. Price is reasonable for overall value. Will definitely be back!

We could not get in, because the call button did not work, we were kept waiting outside until one of us got enough reception to call the Hotel. The rooms were sparsely decorated with tarnished furniture. The main light in the room did not work. The bed sheets were full of cat hair! Be sure to bring a lot of money for dinner, the only restaurant is the one of the hotel and it is very expensive! Wifi only in the reception area!

Great location and a very good fresh breakfast. The outside area is beautiful and in summertime, probably a real joy.
