When I was going down the stairs, the lighting was so dim that I couldn't see properly. I fell and hurt my ankle. I suggest brightening the lighting to avoid accidents.

The walls were thin and my neighbor was not in his room to turn off his 6:45am alarm clock, so it ran until it lost power.

The rooms were secure and the location was awesome. Double windows helped with the noise on the street.

Location was right in the city centre, the staff spoke English and there was an option of luggage storage after check out.

It was noisy because of the bars on the street, and the cleanliness could be better (we found pieces of nachos on the floor). Also, the shower is complicated to use because the hot water goes on and off constantly.

The location is superb, just 5 minutes walking from Puerta del Sol. The beds are comfortable.

Cheap toilet paper and no shampoo as well as very cheap bed sheets which weren't the nicest. The air conditioning is set on some sort of timer you can't cancel it works well at night but it's unbearable during the day. Not a place for kids or if you plan on staying in, but if you're just looking for somewhere to sleep it's perfect

Amazing location, two 24/7 mini markets down stairs as well as a few restaurants bars and clubs just outside the door and right by a central plaza.

The room has not seen renovation for at least 20 years. Everything you need is there, but very shabby. There is no duvet cover in the bed linen, they give you a sheet instead. The blankets are old and dirty. There is no cleaning, even the trash is not taken out without an urgent request. It is impossible to regulate the water temperature in the bathroom.

The main advantage is the excellent location. All main attractions, as well as the express bus to the airport and Atocha Station, can be reached on foot in 10-20 minutes. There are many cafes on the street under the windows where you can eat during the day. At night, however, these cafes make it very noisy.

This review is hidden because it doesn't meet our guidelines.

Our room is do small, as we have 2 luggages and 3 hand carries bags and we felt so congested and we have no space to even eat snacks. There is no Staff when you need to ask something.

The location is in the centre. There are restaurants next to the hostel and shops. Very walkable to other tourist sightseeing.

Noisy- you need earplugs since it’s in the city Center. Hard to find receptionist if you have questions ( he is not 24/7 desk attendant). Small if you are not alone. Price goes up on weekends.

Clean room, fast wifi, enough space for 1 person, balcony nice addition to the room. Location is very good- central. Few cafes near by.

My room was facing the street (a very busy street with lots of bars and restaurants) and I had a terrible night's sleep as there was noise on the street until around 5am.

The room was clean and check-in was straight forward.

1) The water in the shower goes cold if being used at the same time as the flat above. They seemed to only shower in the morning, so not a problem if you shower at night. 2) 1 out of the 4 windows didn’t have curtains, and the sunlight would reflect in the mirror next to the door which in turn would reflect in the bed and can wake you up if you’re sensitive to light. 3) previous to my stay I read all the reviews here accusing the receptionist of being rude. Having worked in customer service I could easily see her point, so I was looking forward to meeting her :) But there was only one friendly male receptionist…. btw, the hostel is indeed on the second floor, the first one is considered ground floor! and the stairs are a good warm up for all the walking you’ll do whilst exploring the beautiful city of Madrid :)

Very central location, in a lively street with shops, restaurants and pubs. Despite this, the room was on the back of the building so very very quiet at night which was nice. Metro Sol is nearby (but we only used it once cause you can basically walk to most places from the hostel) Comfy hard mattresses. Really good water pressure in the shower. Access to two wifis (one that reaches the room and other that reaches the reception)

The shared shower was kinda weird as the shower head kept rotating upwards towards the ceiling?? So I had to hold it as I showered which was annoying and strange but not a big deal

This was a last minute booking for me cause I messed up the dates on my intended hotel, I was hesitant but this place is clean and in an amazing location. Obviously loud since it’s so central but it was fine with earplugs. The lady at the check in was super sweet.
