No ventilation in bathroom. Several lamps broken in the room and the light is quite dim and not suitable for reading. But atmosphere wise it is superb.

The cleanliness of the flat didnt meet our expectations. Especially the kitchen and the kitchen utensils were dirty. There were not utensils enough, there were not forks and spoons, we had to take them from the restaurant downstairs. After using the bathroom the water is coming throughout the wall to the hole, so we had to put towel on the floor.

It is a very decent neighbourhood. The sheets and the towels were clean.

The bathroom is a bit dark without open windows to outside, and the ventilation is not good enough after showers. We can’t open the window for good ventilation. (Maybe it’s because the ventilation window is broken with a lost hinge screw.) One of the tiles above the tub is broken, though it doesn’t affect taking showers.

The location is convenient, better to go with a Hola Barcelona Tour Card. Little kitchen for daily cooking is good for tourists who like trying fresh food ingredients from local supermarkets. Basic utensils are available. Room service and cleaning helpers respond quickly. The bed is great and the pillows are comfortable for good sleep. Air conditioning is a great plus for shelter against the heat wave during our stay. The balcony is adorable, higher floor is suggested for better views, however. Window blinds and curtains provide good protection for privacy and sunlight.

The kitchen was very cramped, and you wouldn't have been able to cook anything substantial in it. And while the black painted apartment looked sophisticated, it was kind of hard to find things in the kitchen and bathroom due to the black walls. There was a plumbing problem for the whole property during our stay, and there were workers at the front hotel entryway trying to deal with some kind of issue during the day. There was quite the pungent smell outside the property, off and on, due to the work/issue. Probably unfortunate timing for us, it was more unfortunate for the folks eating outside at the restaurant on the property during the pungent episodes. (That said, the restaurant was very handy to have on site, and was quite good. We just had room service instead of chancing the smell outside.) The hotel did lose electricity off and on during one of the nights we stayed there, with the result of waking us up with the air conditioner units blinking off and on multiple times.

The property is a great location and great for families/groups. The air conditioning Almost worked well enough, though it wasn't especially strong. The decor was fabulous, and the hotel lobby was great to hang out in, and I like that the rooms had individuality/personality. It does not feel like an anonymous chain hotel (or like a completely cookie cutter Ikea-fied air bnb).

I was drawn to this place because of the pictures of the units that looked like old world meets modern boho decoration. As some other reviewers have stated, these apartments are a little tired now. I didn't mind it, but just want make sure you're aware before you book that it's not as shiny and glossy as the pictures. We were up on the 6th floor and found some issues with the wifi, especially in the evenings. I was able to do my remote-work just fine during the day at least. But streaming some tv shows could be challenging. Easy enough to work around.

We enjoyed our time at Isabella's House. The front desk staff was very nice and helpful. We loved the restaurant. The location was great - an easy walk to everything you need or the public transport to go further into the city. BUT the area was super quiet and felt like a nice residential area, so we didn't feel any tension walking around at all hours. There were several grocery stores close by. While the hotel did offer send out laundry for a very good fee, we kept sleeping in too late, so I found a nice washing place a few blocks away, which was a relief. The kitchen is pretty well stocked for cooking most meals and the fridge was a good size with a real freezer! Traveling with a teenage boy means always having food ready :) The AC was also fantastic, so much so that I had to keep turning it down as I turned into a popsicle since the teen turned it up whenever I wasn't looking!

There were some strange noises in the bedroom - like waterfall behind the wall - when someone from upper floors used the shower/toilet. It was a bit scary the first night, but we used earplugs anyway and got used to it.

Hotel is located in a quiet and nice area, very close to the metro station and several bus stops, so that it's very easy to quickly get to the city centre and most of the attractions. There is a nice restaurant in the hotel, but there are also several dining options around. The apartment we got was very nice and clean, it had a small kitchen so - if we wanted - we could even prepare some meals on our own. It was equipped according to the description in everything we needed. The best part was a very nice and friendly staff :)

Small water heater didn’t last trough family showers, photos of the apartment are not recent and its lacking maintenance. Cabinet doors are falling apart and sofa was in need of a renovation. Being as expensive as it is it could be better maintained.

Our balcony door would close but not lock. I notified staff, we were told the door would be fixed the next day, but it wasn’t. We spent three nights in Barcelona and were outside all day, worrying that we’d be robbed (not so uncommon there). Thankfully there’s a safe in the room for your valuables.

Loved how they use color in their interiors and I noticed that most furniture was vintage, which I very much appreciate as someone who studied interior design and someone who advocated sustainability and the circular economy.
