Unfortunately the hotel was older with little investments made to spaces outside the hotel reception, so the rooms were old. The bathroom was a bit dirty with hairs on the toilet for instance. The hot water was not stable so one minute you had warm the other burning hot, but it was not that bad and it sometimes just happens in hotels. The breakfast was fine but with little variety so not up to Spanish standards. It did feel more like a 3* hotel but still I would expect the place to be cleaner. We also were lucky getting a room with a relatively good view but a lot of the rooms available are oriented to the street and on a ground level with limited privacy and noise from the street. Finally regarding the WiFi connection, it turned out to be quite bad despite the good signal strength. For about half of the time spent in the hotel the connection was not working (it was failing to connect) so we had to use our own mobile data for work. Just be aware the connection might not be stable enough for anything serious. Also note that if the weather gets cold it can be quite chilly in the room and the AC seems to be only central with no heating (nor cooling) option one could set manually. On the other hand, there are many similar choices in Puerto de la Cruz which might be slightly better in one aspect and worse in the other so this hotel does definitely not stand out as anything too bad for the location but rather a local average.

The staff was very kind. The hotel had free water disposals on all floors and a glass bottle to fill in in each room. There was also some different water with lemon available at the reception. I haven't tried any of this though but we saw people using it. The room was spacious. WiFi signal was good in the room we were in (close to the reception) but we were also fetching it on a bust stop in between the buildings (which are connected by a tunnel under that street) so I presume it is good in most if not all rooms. The hotel is located right next to a bust stop. The entrance is from the other side of the complex, but it is still convenient having there a direct bus to Santa Cruz as well as the Airport and Orotava.

Hardly any speaking English staff. Hard to communicate. Some of them there even rude and it looked like we are a problem to them. Constant issues with a room key and water in a shower. Got burnt few times

Pool was closed for two days, but no one could tell us why, and our room door was sticking, but the receptionist we reported it to wouldn’t get it fixed so we had to slam it each time.

Great central location. Staff were amazing and friendly - nothing was too much trouble (except for one receptionist - but you always get one!) Spotlessly clean hotel, and the quality of food in the restaurant was way beyond our expectations. We would definitely return.

▪︎ Not special: The breakfast and dinner are not really something good. Specially the dinner which is always very ordinary fried fish and meat products like sussages and so on. No real vegetarian dishes. ▪︎ Very bad and disappointing: it seems that the focus of the hotel management is extremely on the "costs". It seems they use the instant coffee in the machine to serve their guests coffee at breakfast! Very bad quality which has a very strange and oily taste. We have never ever experienced such a coffee in another hotel, cafeteria, restaurants, any land and any continent at all. The soap and shampoo provided in the rooms and entire facilities are the cheapest and have the lowest quality as well, don't smell good or at least neutral! it dries the skin very hard. I assume there is no special and good filteration system for the water in pool, just disinfecting with chlorine during the night when the pool is closed. So we refused to use the pool. All n all: it is not ok at all to earn more and maximize the profit out of "cutting the expenses of basic stuff"!

Very friendly and welcoming staff, no matter where, at the reception, restaurant, pool or the dearest cleaning staff. Thanks to them all! I appreciate their work and I hope they are being paid good. I would give the staffs 5 stars and not the owner and the mangers' team of the hotel!

The pool was not kept to a good standard and was actually closed for two days due to no daily cleaning routine.

Drawbacks: 1) We were pleasantly surprised to discover the hotel is popular with seniors. A small note about this in the description could be helpful, as we noticed a distinct lack of young families or couples during our stay. 2) The view from the room was set to the construction site/building renovation, which made noise starting in the morning. 3) The water pool can't be heated. 4) Old-fashioned hotel design/interior. 5) Immensely late check-in time (3 pm)!

Pleasant things are: 1) The staff was very polite and kind. 2) The food was well cooked and variable. 3) Good location with proximity to a marvelous view and different cafes.

Nothing that we did not like about the hotel. Just a comment about parking. You can drive up to the hotel entrance to check in, but you cannot leave your car there. There are sufficient free parking places in the neighborhood in the direction of the Botanic Garden.

Staff was very friendly and professional, swimming pool and garden are very nice, breakfast and dinner had good quality and variety. We had a large room and balcony.

The Pool could have been Heated.

The room was spacious and very clean, The Breakfast was self service and the quality of the food and the choice was amazing. The location was a little out of the way for older people but there was 2 bus stops a 2 minute walk away and the bus service is excellemnt and cheap.But saying that there was plenty of bars and restaurants in less than a minute walk from the Hotel.

This hotel is rated as 4 star hotel however I am disappointed with the reasons as follows: The water temperature in the bathroom is unstable. Sometimes it gets extremely hot which might burn the skin. (It relates to the toilet flushing from neighbouring rooms, I suppose.) The room is very cold because of the central air-con system, and it is impossible to adjust the temperature. We got additional blankets but they do not help much during nights. The coldness made us suffer a lot.

You will need mobile internet if you need to get anything serious done online. Thankfully, it's pretty cheap there. The wifi was horrible. The beds were honestly not great, but tolerable (we got a standard twin bed room). It wasn't a big issue for us though. The pool is not heated, which we didn't end up using. I get it though, considering it's Tenerife.

The entire staff was great. We had the half board. Food varied in quality between good and amazing. Good seafood and fish almost every day. Cleanliness was top notch. Solid amenities and outside area. The location is decent. Parking is not great in the area, but after a day of getting to know it, we usually found places within a few minutes walk. The standard rooms are really not 4-star, but they are perfectly fine for the price.

The main Minus for our family was that the good beach with sand was located in 10min by bus. In walk 25min, with stroller the best way and hot weather.

The furniture is pretty worn out and has a lot of water damage. And the breakfast was quite rich, but it was not our taste. Except for churros :)

The place is in a very good location, and the price is very nice. The staff is also very helpful and friendly. The churros at the breakfast were super good :) We had a good time in the pool, too, with my 3y old son and got applause from the other guests when we got in on the shady-chilly day in February :) And it's next to our favourite Asian restaurant on the island - Jade Verde!!!
