Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

BelgiumThe access road could use a lot of improvement; driving over 2km on a extremely narrow, bumpy and rocky road will damage your vehicle at some point. The place is quiet and actually earily so - we had a hard time ordering a drink by the pool because there's nobody to be found. Service at breakfast was lacking, no tables were set outside so we had to do it on our own. With some attention to detail and atmosphere, this place could be so much more alive!
This truly is a beautiful place. The building itself is astonishing both inside and out. We enjoyed a 3 night stay in the apartment which is very spacious and great when traveling with kids (2 beds, 2 baths). Good location to visit Figueres, Girona or even the beach.

United KingdomThe restaurant was fully booked the night we arrived and there aren’t many options to eat in the vicinity as the hotel is a bit out of the way. It would have been if the hotel had phoned us to ask if we wanted a table. Guests of the hotel should presumably take priority over other visitors.
Very friendly staff, beautiful location, good breakfast, charming and historic property.

United StatesGreat place, excellent service and staff, very helpful. The road to get there is in part a dirt road, one lane ,but was not an issue for us. Breakfast, not extensive but has all you need and with a beautiful view. You can have a decent dinner at night. A 10 min away from town. Quiet surroundings. How to come back some time

IrelandThere were times when we struggled to find someone to serve at the bar. Maybe a bell at the bar would help. Just note the driveway is unpaved for approx 1km and might not be suitable for low slung cars.
The location was idyllic for relaxation. Sitting in the evening watching the sunset over the Pyrenees was special. The food in the restaurant was excellent (maybe should be changed if you are staying longer). The staff are very accommodating and friendly.

United StatesNo kettle in the room. Being a Brit I like a cup of tea during the day so would have liked a cuppa during the day.
Everything was wonderful. The staff really went above and beyond for all our needs - everyone (Charles and Laura at the front desk, the restaurant staff at dinner, and the AWESOME breakfast crew!). We extended our stay twice because it was so lovely. You can't beat the tranquillity of the location. We wouldn't have left the property at all except we wanted to visit the Dali museum which is less than 15 mins away (hint: visit at night to avoid the crowds).

United StatesThere is nothing not to like about this property. It is beautifully maintained, the staff is friendly and helpful, and it is in a remote location, location. Perfect romantic getaway, or just sometime away from the city.
I needed a bit of a respite from the big cities of Barcelona and Madrid. This place was a little out of the way and felt far removed from the big, busy city experience. It is in a family Homestead that was built 500 years ago so it feels like you are staying in a castle. But the interior has been updated and is beautiful and clean. It’s a very large building but they have only 14 rooms plus one apartment, so it is quiet, peaceful and spacious. They have an outstanding upscale restaurant on site as well as a pool and a spa. It is not far from Girona so it’s easy to get away for a day if you want some activity.
