Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomWe had a car so it wasn't a problem but the hotel was a 10-15 min drive from the town. You definitely could not walk there. We were there in April and it was very warm but the gardens were not open which was very disappointing as it was part of the reason I chose it.
Pleasant hotel on the outskirts of Aranda. Clean and spacious rooms and comfortable beds. Good buffet style breakfast for 10 euros each or you could have individual items in the café for less. Good value overall.

SpainHowever, the bar cafferterier and restaurant were staffed with one lad doing everything the result was delays a long gap between my wife's meal and mine, then under cooked chicken and my steak was rare instead of medium, the lad was very sorry but not good enough. No apparent fire detectors or instructions.
It is a really nice Spanish style hotel, excellent rooms, and nice check-in staff.

United KingdomBathroom a bit dated, net curtains and windows look like they need a clean. Everything else was good.
Stayed here on route to Estapona. The hotel is in a good location near a motorway, but not noisy. The price of 72 euros for a deluxe double room is pretty good. The room was large with 2 twin beds, room decor was ok and clean. The bathroom was a little dated but no big deal. We ate in the restaurant and paid 50 euros (not inc tip) for 2 people, the food was good. They also have a bar area where they serve food, but a different menu. The hotel is dog friendly and only charges 5 euros per dog regardless of size. We visited with 2 dogs. You can take your dog to the bar if you choose to eat there, but you can’t take your dog into the restaurant. Given the good location of the hotel, good value and pleasant interior and the fact that it’s dog friendly we would happily stay there again as a stopover. Thanks to all of the Montermoso Team.

United KingdomBathroom was a little tired, the toilet seat being broken. As with all Spanish construction there was little noise insulation between rooms but luckily the neighbouring room switched their booming tv off at a decent hour!
Well located for travelling back to the UK with my dog, 2 mins off motorway. Although you can’t take your dog into the attractive gardens located at the hotel there are very pleasant walks across fields and farm land opposite. Dogs are allowed in the cafe which is an absolute bonus when travelling solo. Plenty of hot water and very comfortable bed. Very efficient and friendly staff.

United KingdomWe have been staying at the Hotel Montermoso for the last 10 years and this was the poorest room we have stayed in there. The windows were rattling in the wind & we could hear people talking in the next room.
Its well located just off the motorway for us travelling to Santander for a ferry crossing to the UK.

United KingdomA little on the tired side, particularly when viewed from the outside upon arrival and, although the room itself had been re-vamped, the bathroom was original. Breakfast was adequate but, as it was charged as an extra, it ought to be better…also, was not offered more coffee when desired, so black mark.
Comfortable, spacious & re-styled room, nice restaurant with attentive, helpful waitress; excellent location for a stay over on a road trip…able to buy some local wine from a display in reception.
