Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

New ZealandThe staff were so helpful, we were extremely impressed. We chose their cheapest room. A huge room, 2 very large windows that opened onto the square. Very comfortable bed.

United KingdomNo kettle/ coffee facilities in the room and no room service between 11pm - 8am. As someone who gets up at the crack of dawn to work and who needs piping hot coffee to get going this is a major problem.Saying that the staff did try and accommodate me by providing flasks off coffee / hot water and milk before they finished work for the evening, which I was grateful for, but it was luke warm due to the amount of time lying in the flask . For a great hotel to warrant becoming a fantastic hotel then providing a basic coffee / tea making facility is worth doing. Also the restaurant menu was not to our liking , so we didn’t eat there , as it was heavily accented on local cuisine and not enough international offerings available.
In all my years travelling through Spain to Portugal and back , the reception staff have to be the friendliest and most agreeable, helpful I have ever encountered in Northern Spain , which I’ve found to be more hostile than hospitable, they were absolutely Brilliant 10/10

United KingdomFor info: Zamora is an old city so not surprisingly there is little parking at the hotel. Parking is available about 5 mins walk away in a safe underground car park. (Just watch the entrance gate - it's easy to scrape your tyres - but it's fine after that!)
We had a beautiful room over-looking the square with views of the storks nesting on the church roof. The Parador location is excellent, making it easy to walk around the town.

United KingdomDisappointing no tea/coffee making in the room - however room service was provided
The Renaissance Palace in the Romanesque City of Zamora, the Parador has a medieval atmosphere that provides a contemporary hotel experience. The warmest greeting was received by the hotel manager at reception, very welcome after a long journey. The hotel staff were attentive, polite and informative, ensuring our stay was memorable. Room 112 was beautiful, however, it was noisy being located on the Plaza. Wi-Fi connectivity was not great but was adequate for an overnight stay. Breakfast was good, with good options reasonable for an establishment of this type, although service was strained due to a stressed member of the waiting team.

AustraliaGenerally no negatives, as an old building while there was a lift to the upper floor rooms, there are some staircases in the public areas to get to the bar restaurant that might be tricky for older folk. Why do Paradors give breakfast diners a flimsy set of tongs rather than put serving spoons in the fruit, cheese, cold meat platters as the tons are very difficult to work.
Well located in the town centre, public underground parking not too far away, suite huge but suspect normal rooms would also be large, well equipped, spacious public areas and. Nice pool.

United KingdomThe rooms are not very well soundproofed and conversations can be overheard. The wooden floors are extremely creaky. After 2 nights we were glad to leave them behind. We ate in the restaurant and at the peak time of 20.30 were the only diners there. No atmosphere. The food was middling and the service was perfunctory. It would have been better to eat in the cafeteria as most guests seemed to be doing.
The location a few steps from the Plaza Mayor and the large, deep swimming pool stand out. The reception staff were friendly and welcoming and had a very convenient solution for keeping our bicycles.

IrelandNothing not to like.
The Parador de Zamora is a fantastic hotel, set in a refurbished medieval building, in the true Parador style. Excellent location, and great service from friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast on the terrace overlooking the garden and the swimming pool (yes, bring your swimsuit). Reasonable price for such a great hotel.
