Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaYou can hear people enter and exit the hotel easily if they aren't quiet - but this is pretty minor.
Beautiful old mansion, repurposed into suites. Perfect for a holiday or even an extended stay, with a kitchen (biscuits and tea provided :)), separate bathroom, living room, and balcony. There is also a washer/dryer on the top floor. The location was perfect as well, within walking distance to Seville's highlights. The manager, Pablo, was very well-informed and helpful, providing recommendations and even an electrical converter since we forgot ours in a previous hotel.

SingaporeParking is a challenge. No problem if you get a taxi to drop you outside.
Amazingly preserved 17th century building with high ceilings with wonderful wooden frames. Artwork, tiles and frescoes of the period added to the splendour. The palatial suite #1, had enough room to swing an elephant. A kitchen with nice touches off a bedroom cum lounge with a screen to separate sleeping from lounging. The bathroom always smelled wonderful thanks to a diffuser. The roof top solarium gave you the sense of being in the heart of the city of antiquity. It is also wheelchair friendly as there is an elevator if you are not staying on the ground floor. The hostess was super friendly and knowledgeable.

AustraliaEverything was great. Only suggestion, pillows could be replaced 😊
Beautiful authentic building of old world charm. The suite was decorated with great attention to detail. Suites Machado is located in the heart of historic centre of Seville, within walking distance of everything. Parking stations are available within very close walking distance. Don't make the mistake of trying to drive there through the centre of the area. Given location, it is expectedly noisy, but that didn't bother us.

SpainThat we couldn't stay longer. everything was exceptional.
The communication pre-arrival was great, especially as we booked last minute. The hosts were super polite and punctual, they offered bag storage before and after our stay. Our suite (5) was incredible. It was HUGE, had a private terrace, traditional decor, antique furniture along with a modern kitchen. The location was fantastic, in a quiet backstreet 2 mins walk from bars and restaurants.

United StatesNothing. We loved our visit and would stay again.
It was a treat to stay in a historic home and imagine what it might have been like to live there in centuries past. The apartment is beautiful, spacious, with big windows and a lot of light in the dining room, which made for enjoyable and relaxing breakfasts. The location is excellent - close to plenty of restaurants, but just far away enough to be quiet, without feeling unsafe. We walked there from the train station, which was manageable distance-wise, and also felt like a safe walk.

ThailandCon - This is not a hotel, so there is no 24 hrs front desk or reception desk being on site. There is no problem, only that you need to communicate clearly in advance, such as your expected arrival time, so you will be well served.
Pro - We were warmly welcomed by a guy who introduced himself as "Pablo". He was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Not only that he calmly explained in details how several keys were to be used, one, among others, is for elevator to the rooftop, but he was very knowledgeable, as if he could remember all streets in the map, so he could recommend several restaurants that we asked for, type of cuisine, and also supermarkets nearby. This was impressive, we followed the mark he put on the map and found the restaurant we asked for. In this regard, his advice was tailor-made, customized as per our questions. This is not the case that he had a list of restaurants in mind to tell all visitors the same list, but he came up with recommendation to serve our purpose. It shows he remembered all streets around the map. The inside decoration was very impressive, it felt authentic, classic, with the influenced from Portuguese decorative appearances. The room is too big, equipped with all you mean, kitchenware also. Location is best, with a short work and you reached the walking street full of restaurants and a short work to Catedral de Sevilla, and Royal Alcazar of Seville (RAS). For RAS, I highly recommend you book your ticket well in advance, but if you fail to do so, be there at 8:30am to be among the first in the walk-in queue, and you could get a ticket (after spending 1-1.5 hr queuing).

We stayed in suite 5 on the second floor reached via a beautiful patio and marble stair or by a lift. The suite was large, spacious and beautiful with lovely tiled floors. A bedroom, bathroom, large, gorgeous living room with ancient rafters, kitchen and patio, all beautifully furnished and decorated, and access to the roof terrace with a view of the Giralda and a washing machine and drier. Let us leave our luggage after checkout until we were ready to collect it. Perfectly positioned in Santa Cruz and accessible by taxi

United KingdomWith our apartment facing the street it was fairly noisy (people chatting in the street below). If you are a light sleeper, ask for a quiet apartment.

United KingdomNothing that I can think about! Perhaps a Whatsapp contact number for communication as some of us don’t use a sim as we are travelling internationally. Booking.com messaging does bot always work.
It’s regality. It’s location. It’s beauty and calm. The well stocked suites are a plus. Perfect for a getaway-almost transporting you-in Sevilla, a city full of culture and charm, albeit old world charm. This royal 17th century place is a must visit if you like quaint white regal walls and a quiet time with lots of tranquility! Pablo- the owner/host is a gem!
