Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NicaraguaRecommendations: 1. Improve the internet speed. It is too slow in comparison with the rest of the accommodations in Spain, with an average of 30 MBPS. You guys can do better <3 2. The checkout policies are definitely too strict for my liking. After checkout, you kind of have to leave, and as far as I understood you cannot use the facilities at all. Maybe I'm just used to more flexibility, but yeah, I didn't love that. 3. The schedule in the kitchen is a bit weird. You cannot use it during certain hours. You still have plenty of time to cook your meals, of course, but I just found it weird. 4. My bed was "in the middle of the room", so, not close to any plug. This means I didn't have the opportunity of charging my phone or laptop from the comfort of my bed. My bed didn't have a lamp, and it would have been nice for some reading time under the blankets. 5. If you can slowly improve the mattresses over time, that would be awesome. The pillow was perfection tho.
I loved my stay in this hostel. The team is a group of pretty cool and chill people. They keep the facilities clean and tidy. The kitchen is well-equipped, the living areas are big and spacious, and the garden is adorable. It's a lovely place! If I ever go back to Tarifa I would definitely stay here again. The location is perfect: very close to the old center and the beach. I was probably one of the few guests who did not arrive with the purpose of doing Kite, but even then I had a great time. I am a digital nomad and had plenty of space to work and chill in this hostel.

AustriaThe water jet is very low in all the showers, but perhaps it’s the same in all Tarifa (and also not too hot) the mattresses in the beds in the dormitory are unfortunately well laid out, but EVERYTHING else is just amazing!
The stuff is amazing! So so kind and helpful, you feel like home. Thank you 😊 Rooms are nice, big lockers 😁 Washing machine available for 5€ great location with bars n restaurants close by

GermanyGreat Hostel vibes, liked the atmosphere very much, also enough space to cook and sit down together or chill outside. Each of the beds has curtains which allows some privacy in the rooms.

ColombiaThere is no aircon in the bedrooms which makes it hard to sleep when it gets really hot. Make sure you have few drinks going to bed in those days ;). The kitchen also closes three times a day for cleaning, so make sure you plan accordingly. I initially booked through booking and once there extended my stay for two days and was charged even more (?) I didn't ask before extending as I thought the fare would be the same if not cheaper... but anyways, make sure you double-check beforehand. Also, finding a parking spot can be hard :(
The location is top! The old town is just few walks away with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants. The hostel staff is amazing, always helpful and keen on assisting and providing guidance with anything needed. There is also a pretty cool rooftop where you can do stretches or practise yoga, you can borrow mats from reception. Victoria from reception particularly knows very well the kiting spots and is best to advise you where to go. Housekeeping staff was also lovely and the volunteers were also really keen on helping and having the place neat and comfy for guests. Really easy to meet people and make new friends.

AustriaThis is NOT the fault of the property, but the guests were so so loud in the night, that even with earplugs it was hard to sleep in the hostel room.
It is close to the beach, the stuff is nice and the room was clean. The lockers are huge.

RomaniaJust a few tiny details could be improved to make the stay even more comfortable (like having hangers in all bathrooms, a few more hangers in the bedrooms, actual stairs for the upper bunk beds). But that's me just being really picky :)
Great hostel stay, staff and volunteers are really nice, beds are comfortable, there's daily cleaning of the common areas and bedrooms. All in all, I'll come back! :)

ChileShowers have a button so you have to keep pushing them all the time for water to come out but water is warm so not such a big issue!
Property has a big grass so you can clean kites and hang out. Nice hanging out area and big kitchen. Beds are confortable and private with the curtain! People are mostly kiters or learning so it was good to connect and go all together to the kiting spot.

CanadaPerfectly located, this hostel is maybe the best one I ever stayed in. Apart from being super clean, the staff is extremely friendly, helpful, and will tell you all there is to know about the town and it’s best spots. If you are going to tarifa, this is the best hostel you could stay at, I will definitely come back :)

GermanyThey have a really strange rule for using the kitchen. There is a timetable where you see, when you can use it. So everyone has to cook at the same time. But maybe this is the reason why you can connect so easily with the other guests.
One of the best hostels I habe been so far. It is really easy to get in touch with other guests, you can park for free somewhere up the street, everything is in walking distance. Liked it a lot and can only recommend it.

GermanyNo complaints at all!
It was the best hostel I have ever been to! Staff was super super helpful & welcomimg - they knew every guest by name and asked them about their activities, very attentive! The guests were mostly kite surfers between 20 and 40, but even at 49 I felt welcome and could easily join in. The atmosphere is so relaxed and friendly, no party hostel as most people return tired from kite surfing, fix themselves some dinner and just hang out a bit. The boss is quite strict about the house rules and the lovely cleaning lady wipes all the floors every morning, so it's really clean. And the beds are quite comfy. I will definitely book again if I return to beautiful Tarifa!

United Kingdom10/10 stay. Very comfortable well-sized beds, great common areas, big convenient lockers, great crowd of people, good kitchen, good staff. Really fun to meet and collaborate with so many other kiteboarders. The dining room is well set up with tables and chargers if you have to work a bit. The owner also connected me with his friend to repair my kite in under 24 hours. I stayed at the other top rated hostel in Tarifa too and Tarifa Kite Hostel was way better.
