We stayed in room 330. It’s really at the entrance door to the floor which banged super loud every time ppl came to the floor. If you have sensitive sleep- you will not be able to sleep or will wake up every time from this noise. Fridge didn’t work… Room was quite small comparing to my last stay (I apparently got the better and bigger room when I first time stayed in September ), TV was placed really inconvenient - so if you are tall it will hit you same as it did for us

Location is really perfect! Super close to everything in the city center and also a quiet neighborhood, at least the windows of the room are facing the inner yard. Also there is a kettle and tea/coffee in every room and few paper glasses, which really helps to start the morning in the good mood!

    Nice Economy Option in Helsinki

My main quibble is that the check-in time of 4 p.m. is a bit late.

This hotel is a good economy option. The hotel is kept really clean. The rooms are small, but the space is used effectively and they are bright, so you don’t feel cramped. The hotel is centrally located with plenty of food/coffee/grocery store options nearby.

I didn't understand the room thermostat and my first room was 15C and my second was 22C. I never figured out how to change it.

I've never seen an economy hotel like this, so I'm basing my ratings on my experience here and at a competitor on Tallinn. I really enjoyed the quality and value for money.

Nothing stands out as a thing we didn't like. The facilities and amenities were all perfectly fine and as expected. The bathroom was an all-in-one style with a tile floor shared between the shower and the toilet/sink area, so that could be inconvenient for those who want to leave stuff in there other than small toiletries. However, it was a totally usable space for two people in our case.

We (wife and I) were in the city for an engagement of mine at the University of Helsinki. We got in very early in the morning (~2am) and found the hotel easy to get to from the airport regardless of that. The staff-free check-in/out was also great on this front. The location was pretty centrally located, so it was easy for me to walk to the university each day and for my wife to do ample sightseeing. There were also a variety of eateries nearby, and a nice convenience store right across the street. The room was small and somewhat oddly shaped, but we knew that would be the case going in and were totally happy with the space. The value for money the hotel offered means that would gladly stay here again if we returned for another short trip to Helsinki.

The shower drain was clogged. After having a shower water was everywhere in the bathroom it looked like a flood. The parts of the mattress that weren't covered by the sheet were full of someone's hair and dust.

It was the second time when I stayed at Omena Hotel. This time wasn't as good as before. Anyway, It was acceptable for one night because of its good location and the cheap price.

As it is completely self-service there is no luggage storage but it is clearly mentioned at the time of booking. Additionally, we wanted to check in one hour early and having a staff there to ask if it was possible would have been helpful

Booked this last minute as we had a train cancellation, and needed to spend the night in Helsinki. It was easy to access and very functional. All the amenities needed were provided and the room was very clean.

No reception or staff on site made it trickier to resolve small issues. Continual typing authorisation code into all doors and lifts, whilst understandable, is the downside to no reception.

The air vent was right above the bed and couldn't be turned off. We spent all night feeling a chilly wind. No way to regulate the temperature inside. Noisy street.

Well located, clean, and big enough. Good amenities for its value.

System of check-in, additional charges for extra hour, not taking into account the fact that I would be checking out earlier too. Just the idea to pay more for leaving luggage in the room, when hotel doesn't have such option for free - this is unacceptable.

not the hotels fault but this isnt my first time in Scandinavia and from my experience finland is the most costly out of the already expensive regions. taxi drivers rip you off. i also cant get my head around the locks on finnish doors, i thought we left the hotel door wide open but i just dont know to use the door locks correctly

good location. very cool/easy check in and out. clean room with loads of space. basic room but great to have a kettle with tea and coffee and a fridge available.
