The room we had booked wasn't available for the first night of our stay, had to stay in another room which was very disappointing even though we were reimbursed the difference. Food great but expensive.

All breakfasts had great selection but always cold. Vegetables were cold with my main meal. My wife’s fish overcooked. Over priced for the quality we got. Mainly ate at somewhere else and got better quality at half the price

I don’t know you can call this a 5 star hotel - service/staff were really hit and miss. Some were excellent and some were terrible. Food, Same story. And don’t come here if you are vegetarian or vegan - you will have very little options. Food regularly came cold or lukewarm warm, missing major ingredients, etc. and it’s expensive - which is fine if it’s good, but this wasn’t always the case unfortunately. Noise from a neighbouring resort/bar was a major issue for us every night - the loud music started mid afternoon and went into the early hours. We were in an ocean front junior suit - the far left of the resort (facing the ocean). Do not recommend this at all! We took this room as we understood it was away from current construction activity (opposite side of the resort) - and am glad we weren’t near that (we got hit by toxic chemicals being sprayed one morning while walking to the beach - very bad), but the noise was terrible in our room every night. We went there because the kids club sounded good, but the reality was not impressive. First, it turns out you need to be with kids under 5, or hire a nanny to be with them. Not on the website - we tried the nanny service one day but she was hopeless (nice but hopeless) and we ended up doing the childcare and sending her home early (still paying for it of course). Second, kids club is housed in a tiny, dark room which no children actually want to be in - every time we took our son there he was the only child there so it understandably didn’t last long. Unlikely to return - it has so much potential but the price is too high for an average experience (especially food and noise at night) and the lack of a good kids club means it’s not family friendly enough for us (parents want a break too!).

Resort is nice enough, would recommend for a short stay (two full days was enough for us and then we got bored). Pools were great. Some nice personal touches like recognising my husbands bday with a slice of cake and decorating the room. Many of the staff also made an effort to talk with our 4 year old, remembering his name each time they saw him which was really nice. Breakfast buffet is decent. Convenient to airport. Italian restaurant is pricey and only open for dinner but has the best food on site.

Rooms could do with more thorough cleaning. Air conditioning quite difficult to control, and was more often than not WAY too cold.

We were fortunate enough to be upgraded to a room with pool access and a view of the beach which was wonderful. Very friendly staff. Loved the activities and general vibe around the pool area. Really liked the different areas of the hotel - lobby bar, cafe, Harvest and Pool Bar. Walking distance to Wailoaloa Beach Club and Club 57 (for more great food!) as well as supermarket. We loved our stay and would definitely come back! Great for kids too!

The property was next to another place that played really loud music and I couldn’t sleep until they stopped playing it. I was disappointed that I wasn’t warned ahead of time.

The property was close to the airport and on the water. It was very pretty and exceptionally clean. The staff was excellent and very attentive.

Everything about crown plaza is amazing and memorable.Went there with my husband on my 40th birthday and everything there is excellent.They have events organised for kids as well like the torch lighting at every 6pm.An excellent location for couples and families for holidays.Every where you go is Bula!

A bit of construction at the front but didn’t affect our stay.

Beautifully designed - just stunning! Such a dreamy spot. You can tell that detail and thought is put into every area - from the reception to the restaurants to the pool to the beach club. The staff were truly a highlight; all so friendly and warm… the hotel just wouldn’t be the same or have such an effect without their beautiful staff.

Prices are a little expensive, but service is really good and the resort is not overcrowded.

Breakfasts are the best we have had anywhere and the service is great, with a nice pool setting. The pool layout is incredible.

From the food to the facilities, Crowne Plaza is an amazing resort. I would highly recommend.
