The walls in the bungalows are paper thin. Snoring, crying and fans in the neighbour room were as loud as if the noise came from us. Avoid the buffet,

The view is fabulous and the location is good. It took us only 30 minutes to reach the airport for an early morning flight.

This was our third time staying at Sonaisali, second time this year and we are never disappointed. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Resort and rooms are clean. Housekeeping left a note on our last day which was such a lovely and sweet touch. A special shout out to Kesaia and Apo who made the best cappuccino’s and Iced Latte’s! Will definitely be back again!

    The layout, and the quietness.

Loved how it was peaceful. We paid for a premium burr, and it was just what we wanted.

There wasn’t anything bad about the resort, just worth noting it’s quite a distance to anything else, so you’d need to get a taxi.

We loved the helpful staff, in particular Kesha and Davina who helped sort out a non meat option for one of us, but everyone was kind and helpful. The Bure was huge, and the insect screens were a nice touch. We loved the food, the breakfast buffet was a welcome treat every morning, especially the range of food on offer. The Tava bar was a firm favourite for evenings, although the evening buffets were also lovely especially butchers night! Our Bure was near a small beach, the water was sandy not clear but very warm. The pool was nice but the water was much colder!

The recreational area is run down. Needs some attention. Our doors kept locking us out, tv didn’t work in one of our rooms and the maintenance people took upwards of 2 hours in our room on another day. meaning it couldn’t be used! The yummy beach restaurant is always booked out- which means you have to dine at the main one, menu is pretty average with limited options.

Pool area was great for the kids! The staff are wonderful! Kids club ladies were great, along with the activities boys! All of the staff, from house keeping to bar staff were lovely and very genuine.

Cocktails were somewhat pricey and yet didn’t seem to be very strong. We had the buffet burger nice for $69 fjd per person which was crazy considering the ingredients that were provided weren’t even as good as you would make at home. Overall food was quite poor, we had stayed at the double tree in Noumea, Îlot maître and the food there was the most amazing we had ever had at a resort so we were very underwhelmed by what was available here.

Good sunbathing along beach front. Room and bed was good. The workers were lovely. Views were good. Beautiful grounds.

There is a short 3 minute boat ride so it’s not super accessible to other restaurants outside of the resort. Breakfast was included but unlike the other resorts dinner buffet was an additional $54. As you are on a river opposed to ocean there is a lot of mosquitoes. I think 3 nights here is more than enough

What an amazing hotel. Staff were great with organising activities, accomodating to my son’s birthday I.e complimentary cake, balloons, a plush turtle, and some hair braids. Pool was so fun and provided noodles for the kids. Activities such as kids club and nannies available from $5.50aud ph.

The Hilton have large signage stating they are improving waste management etc, but they need to employ someone to pick up the rubbish on the western end of the beach and behind the resort on the side of the river. Disappointing to see plastic water bottles & other rubbish littering the beach. The kids club is lovely and colourful but the sandpit toys need cleaning daily and sorting to dispose of the broken ones and needs to be cleaned up around the old bathtub. Looks like it was a garden bed at some stage.

Friendly accomodating staff. Peaceful beachside huts looking out over the ocean. Clean inviting swimming pool. Access to a tour desk with lots of options for day trips. The boat ride over to the resort added that something extra special. Loved the messages on the beds and decorations with flowers etc.

The food was good enough but probably not as good as you would expect for the price that you pay. The resort isn’t super modern, there’s probably a bit of maintenance overall that needs to be done BUT if you care more about the experience than the modern or fancy fixings (like I did) then it’ll be perfect for you. Also it is an expensive trip into town if you do want to do any sight seeing but again just depends what sort of holiday you’re looking for! :) can’t stress enough that if your just looking for a super relaxing one stop shop and affordable holiday in Fiji then this is the place for you :).

Staff were absolutely wonderful, so happy and kind! This resort is exactly what I pictured before coming to Fiji so it was perfect for me! Really comfortable beds and nice big rooms. The kids playground is great! And the pool is lovely. So many great lounge beds right in front of the pool and beach and they really set the mood every day with good music and happy vibes.

Honestly, the only downside—more about Fiji in general than the resort itself—was the food. We struggled to find a good meal throughout our stay, even at the resort. Just didn’t hit the mark for us. That said, their fresh coconuts were on point—no complaints there!

The view was absolutely mind-blowing—waking up to that every morning felt unreal. The staff were incredibly warm and kind, especially with our baby, which made the whole stay feel even more special. The place was spotless throughout, and any time we needed something, the team was quick to respond. Really felt looked after.

Wi-fi did not work as well in the main area and was paid for if wanting in a room - it would be ideal to include this as a standard item with screen sharing for in room movies through streaming. A few more options for kids al a carte.

Pool is great for Kids. Dinner at Tevu Bar is a must but you need to book. The firedancing and live music were great accompaniments to the dinners and experience. The highlight for the kids was Meree at kids club, our kids were often the only kids and they had an absolute ball! Fiji Surf leaves from the adjacent mooring to the island - these guys are great for day trips.
