Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

TurkeyOnly the sheets were not clean.
The price performance was very good. Good conditions for a solo traveler. Although the location is a bit far, you can walk to the sights and there is a bus stop in front of the location. The staff is very sweet and helpful. The environment is also clean.

TurkeyThe staff is very friendly. Every time I needed something, they were willing to help :) they answered my all questions about the city. Merci 😀 The hostel is very clean, and the 18-bed dorm is comfortable. There's a curtain in the bed, so you have privacy. Every bed has its own light. Yes, there are 2 toilets and 4 showers, but it wasn't any problem. No quee. Female and male separately. Location is a little bit outside of the old town (Vieux-Lyon), but easily walkable in 30 minutes. I would definitely stay there if I go to Lyon again.

SpainAmazing staff! I felt very welcome. All the facilities (sleeping rooms, bathrooms, kitchen and common area) are spacious. There's a space where you can either work undisturbed or chill and relax. You can buy drinks at the reception. The lockers are big enough to accommodate a huge backpack, and if you're travelling with one, the hostel is situated at the river bank level, so you don't have to climb up a hill with your heavy luggage. You can reach it easily by any means of public transport. I had a really nice stay and will happily return.

United States of AmericaThe kitchen didn't really have a lot of cooking equipment, I couldn't find a pot.
The people I met at the hostel were really nice. I ended up going out with a bunch of them and didn't actually get to sleep in the bed since I had to leave to catch an early train... so I have no idea if it was comfy or not

MoroccoIt's not I didn't like but it will be better if there is any boulangerie near them. The first one you need to walk too much to reach. Other thing is cabinet it should be little weight like that you can put our bag. But still staff took the bags in closed save room. So really no complain.
Staff very nice very welcoming helpful if you needs help. Hostel is clean. I am happy to stay with them.i highly recommend.

United States of Americato get to the bathrooms and showers, you have to cross the reception/ open public space which is really annoying and 2) I’m not sure why but there were many older men around, they didn’t all know each other, in comparison to other hostels in other countries and cities, that wouldn’t stop staring at me or following me trying to get me attention (I wasn’t wearing or doing anything out of the ordinary...) also the 18-bed room could be split into 2, and was clearly 2 separate smaller rooms so I don’t know why they merged them but it would help with all the people coming and going(and noise and privacy, ac etc)
entrance reception is beautiful and wifi works well everywhere . the bedroom has good ac and bed set ups

United KingdomI got the C6 bus from Lyon Part Dieu to Valmy and strolled the rest of the way. Once I had got inside it was very different to the unexceptional (though wide) front door - open plan, lots of seating with a bar. The beds had curtains to make a micro room with the usual sockets and such. Le Pas Sage Antillais was good for food especially if I remembered I was still hungry on the way back to the hostel. Having the river Saône (named after the Gallic river goddess Souconna, unless you prefer the rivers other names of Brigoulus or Arar) on the other side of the road made for a nice evening walk. Bus 31 and the "Pont Koenig" stop which is just outside the hostel will take you to Perrache where you can get another bus to the Station.

United States of AmericaThere weren’t any hostel events, so it was hard to get to know anybody and seemed like there wasn’t much of a community.
They didn’t have any keys, and the lockers were outside of the room which was less bothersome when people were sleeping in the room.

BelgiumSomehow the showers and the toilets still smelled bad.
The staff lends you a padlock if you forgot yours, they keep your luggage for free before & after check-in. There’s a Whatsapp group that brings people together. A very cosy chilling corner (2). The curtains at the beds were appreciated. There’s a disinfectant spray in every toilet/bathroom. There’s great airco in the rooms. They have tap water at the entrance, which you can always drink of.

AustraliaCan get a bit hot in summer. It’s a small walk from the centre of town but it’s along the river so the walk is very nice The only other thing is when I was there, in peak season, there wasn’t a lot of English speakers, and not many people that wanted to go out so not as social.
Good common area, with good rooms and good bathrooms! Everything was very good.

GermanyThere where no locks whatsoever on the doors leading up to the dorms or the dorms it self. Anyone could have walked in at any point in time. Though there were security cameras. It was also a bit hidden, location whise.
The hostel had the potential to be very social. The kitchen was good, even though two plates were broken. Everything got cleaned regularly and I never felt unsafe as a female solo traveler.
