Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomAmazing old chateau in nice grounds. We stayed in the orangery and had a nice room where everything worked and was at a very reasonable price. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent. Lots of free parking. Overall great overnight stop.

United KingdomIt is situated in a rough looking neighbourhood through which you have to drive. It is not the idilic country palace the pictures would have you beleive. The center of cambrai is further than advertised.
Nice looking place but only one lift in one building and it only goes up one floor. You could be in the Orangery which is not as nice as the chateau. i would check before traveling. I was in an attic room and had no hot water in the morning.

BelgiumThe entrance, lobby and the central staircase could be freshened up but this wasn't a big issue as far as I'm concerned. I was happy.
The room I had in the Château was fine: spacious, perfectly comfortable and clean. Very quiet surroundings (no traffic in the vicinity). Wifi connection worked well everywhere I went. The personnel was generally warm and kind. Breakfast was also fine with good croissants, fresh fruit and cereals. The restaurant, in the cellars of the hotel, serves excellent food (above average: refined cuisine). Better to book in advance.

United KingdomQuite far out of town and no facilities other than the very expensive restaurant around. Mosquito’s in the room and obviously the previous guests had been bothered as they were squashed all over the ceiling.

United KingdomIts a lovely building on the edge of the town in a housing/schools area, its a little faded, but the review warned of this. Have a low expectation and you will be thrilled to stay in a fabulous old building.
Restaurant was lovely and the food delicious, quite a fine dinning experience, and good value. We booked a superior (mid grade) room and it was large and comfortable. My partner needed a lift and sadly the lift only went to the first floor - so there was a struggle up and down the remaining flight of stairs. The bed was BIG, and the linens seemed good. the location was quiet and the room large compared to the cheap chain hotels. We choose this as it was a short drive to the channel tunnel... and that worked well

BelgiumThe room got quite hot and was fairly old.
We had a bath, which was good value for the money we payed. In the morning having breakfast in the Chateau and afterward we sat in the lounge, its a beautiful building and the staff is lovely. When we tryed to speak french they didnt correct us and gave us time to proces what they were saying. (They do speak English, but we wanted to make the effort)
