Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Meals took an hour to come. We had to tell staff we had not got our meals yet. Food when it did arrived was only just warm. Drink service slow also.
Large rooms, great breakfast. Restaurant good vibe.

The bathtub/shower could be difficult for anyone will mobility issues/limited mobility.
Quaint boutique hotel centrally located to everything we wanted to visit. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Every space (room, breakfast hall) was really tight, but one can expect as much at the city centre. We could use some more plugs in the room.
Helpful and friendly staff. Nice breakfast, really convenient location. The room was clean and water was offered everyday.

I happen to love the 1st Arron. So the location is perfectly located between the Opera house and the Louvre Museum and easily walkable to many of the places of interest and the nbr 1 metro line

The staff are extremely helpful and very nice. The location is amazing, and it is close to many landmarks. This is our 2nd stay at the same hotel in less than a year, and we will definitely go back

Booking.com advertise that there is parking available. As I arrived I found that this isn't true. Being disabled my first night was incredibly tiresome and took all the joy out of the trip.

It is very old, bath has forever stains, curtains were washed long ago..opposite to bed sheets which seems to be very washed and though very aged.. Breakfast and lobby have strong smell of something spoiled, even selection of food is very good and fresh

The breakfast attended was the only one whom might have been a bit grumpy😅 but might just be from having to wake up extremely early to prepare things 🤣.
Very central location. Friendly receptionists who were very service minded. A nice room with a bathtub and a comfy bed. Had a request for extra pillows that were accommodated, and if I needed a later check out that could have been arranged. Breakfast area was small but cosy and the breakfast itself was simple but good

Our airco didn't work the first night, so we received a new room. I have been several times in this hotel and I always enjoy the services provided. Good quality / price. Pleasant and professional people at the reception desk.

Faulty fire alarm that woke everyone around 230am. The staff knew it was faulty as there had been an issue during the day. It should have been resolved immediately. Not merely for comfort of guests, but more importantly, for complete safety. We waited in the lobby for half an hour before returning to our rooms. Good stay until then.

I was surprised by the size of the room! It was too busy for 3 persons (2 adults and 1 child). The hotel accommodated my request for one room for the 3 persons, but I didn’t know it was too small to accommodate 3 persons. I would have taken additional room (interconnected), if possible, but our stay was short so we lived with it. Public car park was 600-700 meters away and NOT nearby, as the website suggests. “Nearby”, to my understanding was “across the street” or on the same street or behind the hotel! I think the website should state that or at least specify the name of the nearest public car park. I would advise future customers to download the public car park company’s application (Indigo) to benefit from the daily reduced rates.
