Rather a strange and meandering walk from the bedroom to the dining room through the kitchen area. Spiral staircase difficult to negotiate if mobility compromised.

Wonderful hotel full of artefacts. Plenty of parking at the hotel. Dinner excellent. Peaceful place. Warm welcome by the staff. Lovely breakfast by electric light and candlelight. I loved the church bells and the crowing of the cockerel but these may not be to everyone's taste.

This hotel is absolute paradise if you are searching for a place to stay in Burgundy. It’s also great starting point if you want to explore the wineries in the surroundings. The beds in this hotel were the most comfortable of all the beds I slept in while roadtripping in France. All the details of this accommodation are well thought out and make you feel like you really are living in a French movie. Breakfast is worth the price. They have really high quality French food (croissants, cheeses, local honeys). I can’t recommend them enough!!

My husband found showering tricky as it is a hand-held shower over a bath. Not much in the village, so more of a stopping off point. Also nobody had cleared up the dog faeces in the courtyard!

Quirky hotel, lots of character throughout. Bed extremely comfy. Breakfast was in a little room and was good. Enjoyed meal in restaurant. Alrhough busy, our meal arrived quickly.

A little gem of a hotel in a small rural community setting and perfectly situated near the A6.

The beds were not the most comfortable - hard mattresses - and the bathrooms although restored in a challenging structural context could have been more functional.

The hotel is very well placed off the A6 motorway and perfect for a stopover - no doubt also good to visit the area which is an important wine region. It is a bit of a gem hidden away as it is a beautifully restored old farmhouse and barn and has maintained all of the quirks and charm of its origins. The setting and the courtyard is stunning and the restaurant for dinner in the evening quite something. The staff were very helpful and polite and the secure parking was a major bonus.

Being a bit unsteady the tub was a bit difficult to get in/out and the shower head was not attached to the wall...a minor thing and we loved everything else about the place.

This was our 3rd visit (minutes off Rt. 6) and wouldn't stay anywhere else. What a find! Breakfast and Dinner were nothing less than amazing. Decor is quirky and charming inside and out with antiques galore. Lots of areas to sit outside both under cover or in the sun/starlight. Parking is a locked garden. Rooms are large and spotless, dining outside under the trees when weather permits...and when checking out do pick up some of the jams (forgot to get the green tomato jam this time) and honeys and liquors. Can't wait to return.

Wonderfully quirky and about as authentically French as you can get. Great stopover whilst heading south -only five minutes from the A6 but very quiet and peaceful. The restaurant was nearly full on a Tuesday with both locals and visitors - a testament to its quality!

no aircon. very small fan. lovely setting but rooms need some attention. little things. for example. you can’t draw the curtain and have the window open. (which at night is essential in summer with no aircon)

The hotel is quirky with lots of fun details to discover. The staff are friendly, with a particular shout-out to Veronique on the front desk who was utterly charming and always helpful. Our room was spacious with lots of beamwork, no A/C but the fan was just about enough to keep us cool on the hottest day. Breakfast (extra charge) was good value and the dinners were good too - there's no other option in Nitry so the fact that the restaurant opens 7-days a week in summer is very important. Unlike many hotels, tea/coffee/kettle weren't provided (though on request a kettle was found for us). Note that the entrance to the hotel section is separate from that to the restaurant. A weird walk-through via the kitchens links the two sections but otherwise, if the blue metal gate to the hotel section is closed, you will need to know the access code before being able to reach the hotel reception.

The only downside I can think of was the water from the shower did spread a bit in the bathroom and took a while to dry out. As such, there was a bit of a damp smell for a while.

This is a really lovely building where the walls are old stone and really thick so on a hot day, the rooms are lovely and cool. The staff are all friendly and it was so nice to sit in the garden area and have a cool drink after a long day of travelling. Parking is very secure, being in a gated area and although you're not too far from the main road, it was very peaceful. In the room, the ensuite had a shower which was amazing - lovely waterfall shower-head and it didn't take long for the water to get to temperature. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and I had the entrecote steak which was the biggest I've ever seen. Everything was delicious. Breakfast was a buffet style affair and again was lovely with enough to keep anyone happy.

Nothing we did not like only that we had to miss breakfast as had to drive to Beauvais airport.

What a find! The reataurant setting both inside and out beautiful. Great menus ,loved the 'people of the land 'theme.Great range of prices ,great choice ,very generous portions (for those who had done a hard days outdoor work'. We booked three rooms all all decorated with eyes on the past with modern comforts. We will be back.
