Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomNo basic amenities in the room, such as an electric kettle for hot water, tea, coffee - One would expect that at the minimum for the price being paid. There weren't sufficient power points and mainly no power points near the bed. I think this is basic ergonomics and every hotel should fix it if not already as it creates a lot of inconvenience. The toilet and the shower were separated and it was really difficult for a group of 3-4.
The common space, lounge and the reception area was quite spacious. The Hotel was at a hieght from the street level but the access was made easy by an elavator. The Bed was sufficiently clean and comfortable. The room had plentu of racks and hangers to organise and stow clothes and essentials. Plenty of food options, bus, metro and train stops within 500 mtrs of the location.

GermanyThe location of the main entrance is awkward and complicated. The one plug in the room was by the desk. No plugs were near the bed. No foreign language channels on the cable. The configuration of the room had the television partially blocking the closet - you had to squeeze behind it to get your clothes. No mini-fridge, which is now pretty standard in 3 star hotels and if you close the bathroom door while you are inside, the lock sticks a bit. It can take a bit of doing to get back out. I thought for a moment that I was locked in. Lastly, a simple hook in the hallway to hang your coat would have been useful.
The rooms were modern and clean. The view from my window was pleasant - an interesting abstract mural on the adjacent building and some nice greenery. Also some good restaurants in the area.

BrazilAccess to the hotel on foot is a little tricky, as you have to walk up a car ramp or use a lift to the other side of the road. It's not a problem, but it is a negative point.
Small but comfortable and clean rooms, good internet, helpful and attentive staff and reception, very good breakfast and friendly service in the restaurant.

PortugalFound difficult to establish a proper communication in English with some staff members when we tried to check-in, fortunately we got helped by the check-in manager which was amazing. Pretty much the price we booked here in Booking, wasn't reflecting on the check-in and it was difficult to make that message go trough. The rooms really need a refurbish.
It was above my expectations. The lockers available allowed us to drop the bags and explore the center of Paris without having the trouble to think on carry them out. The price range was good and close to subway! The breakfast was definitely a plus!

PolandMy hotel card did not work (twice!), and I had to ask the receptionist to 'recharge' it - twice. Also during my whole stay, there was no hot water in the shower (I tried to twist both ways)

IrelandThe cleaners would knock and enter the room without waiting for a response. There was no bin in the bedroom or a kettle for tea. Neither the television or shower were working. We had to run the water for ages before it got hot and took baths. It wasn't what we were expecting at all, but the location was fantastic (30 min Uber to CDG this morning for €39) and at the very least, it was squeaky clean!
It was clean.

CroatiaThe room is so small we barely had enough room to put both of our suitcases on the floor. The bathroom was old and there were hairs in the bathtub when we arrived (the drain also had hairs in it).
The bed was very comfortable and the sheets and linen were all clean and tidy. We had breakfast included and it was excellent (a wide variety of choice and all quite tasty). The staff were nice and helpful.
