The noise from the traffic if you had a window open. The shower area was good except that there was nothing preventing all the water from the shower running over the bathroom floor, which made it quite difficult to walk in the area for fear of slipping.

The staff were very helpful.

Shower needed maintenance. Noisy maintenance work started at 10am without prior warning. Duvet a little thin for time of year. 11am checkout is earlier than most similar places, also check-in closed at 8pm, although arrangements can be made for later arrival.

Proper check-in by a real person who was also friendly and welcoming. Coffee machine in room. Reasonable size room, with blackout shutter on window.

Hotel met all our expectations. We didm't need too much but all we needed was there. Clean and no omissions. One thing: we expected two rooms with an intermediate door. The rooms were next to eachother but there was no inner door to eachother.

Quite a strong smell of cleaning materials. Thin walls- I woke up when the guests next door turnee on their tv late at night.

Easy to find from the autoroute. Comfortable queen sized bed, everything very clean. Friendly receptionist.

The room smelt a bit and didn’t have a fridge. There was no air con but there was a fan which was quite noisy. It was not suitable to open the window as there was a busy road outside.

It was clean, but basic. I needed a stop over about an hour and a half from Calais and it fitted the bill perfectly. They had secure parking which was a must, they were dog friendly, another must. The staff were friendly and the evening meal and breakfast were good - plenty of choice and meant I didn’t have to leave the hotel except to walk the dog. The hotel is in an industrial estate with plenty of green space around to walk a dog in a lead and the hotel has a garden to walk the dog in too.

Told breakfast was served from 8am to 10am and as we had to leave at 07:30 decided not to have breakfast only to come down with our bags to leave at 07:25 and find 8/10 people eating breakfast! Oh well their loss.

Having said the above, its essential to realise if you are planning to stay Thursday to Sunday, you won't be able to enjoy the restaurant, which is very consistent in its quality. I was personally disappointed not to be able to get a drink from the bar, but hey ho !

Evening meal was disappointing, we both had beef steaks which were tough and full of Grissel. Perhaps we were just unlucky, but there are other restaurants nearby which we would go to if we stayed again
