We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

UruguayThe building is not as well maintained as the apartment itself, the entry door to the building was broken. One suggestion is that there is a light at the entry with motion sensor, that if there are guest sleeping in the living room, every time someone goes to the bathroom it activates and at night it is not ideal.
Apartment is well located 1.5 blocks from the Promenade des Anglais and the beach and well kept. Although it is a little tight (for a family of 4), it is perfect for a beach stay, it is well equipped, it was very clean and they waited for us with sufficient toiletries and complimentary snack and drinks. There’s also a supermarket 2 doors down.

SlovakiaComunication was little hard and I got late responses for my answers but fortunatelly everything went good.
The appartement was really great. We had the best vacation here. Close to the beach, very close to the public transport. Everything was clean and nice. There is also a grocery shop down the street wich was amazing. Our stay here was definitely 10/10.

PolandThere is the only issue should be mentioned, since it's crucial one for those who are not travelling alone. The light just next to the front door of the apartment has a motion sencer so it will on everytime someone is moving being in the room. So if some have a place for sleep in the dayroom, and someone else will be willing to use the bathroom at the nighttime, it will be a problem since the light will turn on automatically and will desturb the person who sleeps in the dayroom. Unfortunately, there is nothing could be done with it. The other issue which should be mentioned is the smell of the cigarettes in the bathroom. If someone in the next apartment will smoke, you will smell it immediately. It's not crucial, but still need to be mentioned, because it could bother those who are not smokers. Needest to say, this issue is totally not the host responsibility.
The accommodation is situated in the most willing part of Nice, just behind the most prominent street of the city, The Promenade des Anglais, just very close to tram stop and only 200 meters walking distance from the beach. The apartment is situated at the first floor (second level) in old fashioned building with a wide stairs which weren't demanding at all and were easy to climb. The apartment has everything you may need while staying, including fully and well equipped kitchennette with microwave, refrigerator and induction hob, spacious bathroom with bath, toilet and the washing machine. There are two separate rooms with the balcony which has access from both rooms - the dayroom and bedroom. Both bedroom and bathroom are separated from the dayroom with the sliding doors. Both rooms has a climate control and comfortable sleeping spots. The apartment is very comfortable, and its situation allows to reach all the objects you are interested in very easly, including the main train station and the city airport. United KingdomIt’s described as luxurious but it’s absolutely not! It’s a 3* apartment in a 2* building and in an area that is just outside the main bars and restaurants area and that part of the street is quite scruffy. The bedroom is tiny so the person on the inside has to climb over the whole bed to get out. The room is just about bed sized. The sheet would not stay on the mattress so was uncomfortable throughout the night. There wasn’t enough storage for clothes, only one freestanding object with a few hangers and two minuscule round shelves. The air conditioning was hit and miss…we managed on about two of our six nights to get it working. The TV wasn’t connecting to the internet for the first couple of days (this was resolved but I’m not sure if someone sorted it or it maybe re booted itself?). There’s no drainage for washing dishes. The apartment is small. The balcony overlooks some waste ground and high rise apartments so you can’t sit out and enjoy the view and have a glass of wine - it looks out onto a very scruffy view. When you enter the building its smells awful - I think there must be bins in the basement and there are loads of flies as you walk through the main door. We didn’t use it as a ‘luxurious’ apartment where we could spend time there, it was literally somewhere to shower and change and sleep.
The spa bath was relaxing after a hot day. Fancy atmospheric lighting. Washing machine. Inside the apartment was neat and clean. It’s close to transport to get to anywhere in Nice. Supermarket was two doors away.

SwedenYou could hear the neighbors very load when they were talking and laughing, and that could be a bit distirbing.
The location was very good. The trainstop from the airport was only 5 min walk away. The appartment was very clean and fresh. No sound from the street as the appartment was placed into the yard
