Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

No lift. 😅
Very helpful staff who let me store my bag for the day after check-out. Carried my bag to the second floor (no lift!!). Very central location. Close to eating places, supermarket and shops.

Nothing - it was exactly as expected from a basic hotel. I would have liked some milk sachet to make tea but that’s being picky.
Great location in centre of Amboise and across the road from a free parking lot. The bed was very comfortable and the air con worked perfectly.

The bedding. The pillowcases and duvet cover were a quilted polyester fabric. And there was no top sheet. If I were to stay here again I'd bring plain cotton pillowcases and a top sheet.

The information about parking could have been better. The streets are very narrow and we were lucky to find a car park that was free overnight but quite a long way to carry our luggage.
We did not have breakfast but the hotel was convenient for restaurants. Right in the centre of Amboise. The recommended restaurant was excellent.

There is no actual car park linked to the hotel.. There are two free ones a couple of hundred yards away but both were solid in March, so must be worse in summer. The unloading bay opposite was occupied permanently by a private car. The road is narrow and part of a one-way system. . Paid parking is easier, but a problem if you have heavy luggage to transport as you could be some distance away. Our room was small, as in the description. Most comfortable certainly, but hard to simultaneously open two full-sized cases for an overnight stop.
Very clean, comfortable room, nice shower & bathroom, decent thick bath towels and a hand towel, comfortable bed and friendly English speaking guy on Reception. All the staff - and the dog - were very welcoming. Many thanks. We really enjoyed our stopover. The location is superb. Right in the heart of Amboise. There was a kettle in the room and a complimentary bottle of water.

Our room was really warm and too loud with the window open but the a/c unit didn't seem to make much difference. Also the bathroom door when completely closed had big gaps on either side.
Great location right in the center of Amboise, access to secure bike parking and an ok breakfast.

There was no milk in our room to make a cup of tea. None available at reception when we asked, so had to go out and buy some ! Room a bit small, could hardly get round the bed. Shower cubicle interior scruffy, needed grout round tiles redone, silicone messy.
Average breakfast. Good position in Amboise for visiting.

Location was great - right in the centre of Amboise; staff very friendly and also good communication when there was the possibility that we would not reach the hotel whilst reception was open. We all enjoyed the breakfast. Double rooms were quite small but very clean & had everything we needed. Blinds & AC ensured that we all slept well despite the warm evening.
