Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

HungaryDirty walls, patches everywhere. A fridge in the summer should be absolutely a minimum. The lack of airconditioning was not surprise, but in the summer months, for many its a nongo. This time temperature was 37-39 C, but cooled down for the nights so with open windows you could sleep-but you need earplugs, because of the streetnoise. (bar nearby, motors, etc) Also bad isolation, heard the neighbours television at 2.00 Am.
I have mixed feelings about this stay, the room (superior) was good size, extremely nice bathroom, totally clean, cleaning daily. The bed comfortable. Location 10 min from the heart of the city, opposite the fine art museum. Elevator. Good communication with the place online.

United KingdomNo A/C built-in, but portable unit was provided. Instructions for it would have been nice...but I'm being picky.
Owner is lovely. Access is easy via key code. Room was basic, but as per description. As it was Tour de France weekend, room was good value. Breakfast is continental and good.

United KingdomTiny bathroom. If you're sharing with a partner, make sure the TV is on. Tiny lift also, and steep stairs alternative. If you have mobility issues, ask if lift is working, or for room on bottom floors.
Compact and pretty basic, but comfortable bed and clean room. Staff were excellent, very friendly, helpful and and happy to converse in English (just as well as my French is a disgrace). Nice location, overlooking the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Pau, and very close to the main retail and socialising areas.

United Kingdomcorridors and lift to room very narrow. Washbasin emptied very slowly, blockage somewhere. Some dripping water outside of night access door. After around 7pm, access only via codes.
Room was fine, bed was comfortable, shower good. Room /hotel access via codes worked well. Convenient location. This is a inn style accomodation, but basic necessities are there. Staff attentive, breakfast and lunch quite ok.

SpainGreat space; friendly staff, big clean white comfy bed. A little unorganized as the staff didn't read my email about staying a second night; didn't personalize an email to reassure me that my stay was confirmed. Sent me 5 identical emails but didn't send the access code until 3 hours before checkin- which - if I hadn't had wifi data I would not have been able to checkin as reception closes early.

PortugalIt’s a small bedroom with a very tiny bathroom! I have to point out that the hairdryer wasn’t working on room 23 (floor 2) which was not good.

United StatesThis isn't really a hotel. It is couple rooms run by a restaurant/bar. The rooms are tiny and without Air Conditioning (AC). Even when it was cool outside and I had the window open, the room was still oppressively hot. Not really sure why? Breakfast is fine, but too expensive. Entrance feels unsafe and unprotected. Bathroom toilet was in too cramped a space. (even cramped from a European hotel bathroom perspective.) This isn't a place I will stay at again.
Location is good and the staff is nice.
