Despite our off-season and very short visit to Rocamadour , we very much enjoyed our stay at the Le Troubadour - a little heaven close and distant enough from high-season crowds. Tips for the close-by villages, the very practically set up breakfast and the breakfast wine were surely good fuel for the rest of the trip.

Everything. Nice family like environment, great location and exceptional services. The hotel room is clean, tidy and cosy. Good quality food and drinks which are locally sourced and supplied. Frank knows the area well and he has given us so many good tips of where to go and what to expect. We loved this place and will definitely come back for another stay!

Nothing, everything was perfect.

The place is great, located over a little hill, between the fields, trees, surrounded by wonderful nature. There are plenty of things to do, Rocamadour is 10-minutes walk away. The hotel is very clean, the room was very nice, the bed comfortable. The owners were very friendly, helpful, gave us a great tips on what to see, where to eat, etc. Breakfast was very good. We hope to come back there one day!

Loved our stay so much and it will be a highlight of our trip to France. You can tell they designed a hotel with guests in mind. Good luck with the truffle farm!

Such a relaxing rural location. Beautiful countryside. Great views. Accommodating hosts. Luxurious towels. Generous breakfast. Walking distance to Rocamadour. Met other nice people there. So lovely!! Hated to leave.

Everything was good

An exceptional hotel. Warm, welcoming and relaxing. Our apartment was a perfect size for 3 of us. Easy walk or drive into Rocamadour, also several good restaurants. Mattieu and Frank are lovely hosts. We felt very welcome from the word go. Would definitely like to come again

The welcome was very warm , room comfortable and quiet, pool was wonderful and breakfast delicious and plentiful. Excellent staff with a wicked good sense of humour, very helpful with suggestions and directions. I recommend highly! Oh, yes, and Rocamadour is a short stroll away!

We could have stayed longer - I wish we had.

The hotel is so peaceful, set amidst rolling hills and the only sounds I could hear were birdsong and the breeze through the trees! Matthew was very hospitable and a great host. The breakfast was lovely, our apartment was clean and comfortable and we can't wait to go back!

I love everything about it

This was my second stay at Le Troubadoure and just like the first one it was perfect. Everything and is very clean, feels happy and Mathieu is super friendly … every time I meet him. I love how safe the place feels, how quiet it is, and how beautiful everything is maintained. They welcomed my dog as well, which is important to me. The AC in the room worked great so we were able to get a great night of sleep, although it was very hot outside.

Our host Matthieu, was superb, and made us feel very welcome. The location, accommodation and service were all first class. The breakfast was all freshly prepared and delicious. We were given plenty of information about visiting the town. I wish we had booked for longer.

Just be aware that you have a short walking distance to the city - but it is not a problem.

Very nice room. Very friendly staff and owner. Had rooms on the first floor - where we could sit outside on the shared balcony with our friends - and overview the pool area and the landscape. Aircon in the room. Free parking at site.

Lack of separate smoking areas. I know this a a normal French situation but for a non smoker it is unpleasant. The shared balcony meant we were regularly in someone else’s cigarette smoke when they sat outside of their room too. It is the only thing I would mark the property down for.

Good sized room, comfortable bed, nicely appointed bathroom with a conveniently separate loo. The small fridge and safe were a bonus. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful. The pool was big enough to swim. The gardens are beautiful and the view from the swing in the tree a delight. The distance from Rocamadour was perfect - we felt a world away from the tour buses whilst being an ideal walking distance to the site and lovely places for dinner.
