We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Great location to the beach. Exceptionally friendly staff. So impressed with them especially the breakfast lady, the outside bar, the reception man when we arrived.

United KingdomThe room took my back my youth hostel days. The smallest single beds and no room to move around. I had paid for a superior room god knows what the basic room is like. I had booked and paid for 2 nights but after the worst nights sleep we left a day early.
Great location and wonderful view across the harbour. Close to the beach.

Unfortunately this place is now mostly a retirement village/ nursing home, so even tho our room was clean, although very small, there was no breakfast lunch or dinner available as we were led to believe

NetherlandsEverything - from beds that felt like concrete, handling our bicycles without asking - not responding to 5 (!) requests for early arrival as they published themselves - extreme loud noises from a big party in the hotel until approximately 04:30 a.m. - a very lousy breakfast - extreme warm rooms, and so on. No wifi at all (problems they said since the morning, can it be more french ?) We did not catch any sleep whatsoever.
The lady host looking for solutions instead of listing problems. That was the only positive.
