Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

New ZealandThe food, though good, still seemed vastly overpriced, and I had no other choice owing to it being a public holiday when I stayed.
This is a neat hostel in a good central location. There is a real sense of style to the interior design, and the room came complete with all necessities. The staff were friendly at all stages of the stay. Cleanliness was exceptional throughout the hostel.

United KingdomThe only negative was that our street facing room was adversely affected by traffic and loud people noise late into the night. Rear facing rooms probably quieter.
Good central location. Relaxed style, really clean and comfortable rooms. Free WiFi. Great buffet breakfast for €9. Helpful English speaking staff. Luggage storage after check out. Excellent value.

AustraliaDorms were very dirty, sometimes smelly, and had no sinks in the room — everyone had to brush their teeth at the one sink in the communal bathroom. The door to the mixed dorm was constantly left open so anyone could have just walked in. Weird vibe, not very social or pleasant despite the good atmosphere downstairs. The staff member working afternoons was lovely, but there was a very rude woman working the mornings. She refused to explain anything and treated me very coldly.
Good location between the train station and the old town, close to shops, restaurants, grocery stores, bars, and museums. Nicely decorated common area with coffee, drinks, and food available to purchase. Strong wifi. Privacy curtains in the dorm rooms were very good. Beds well set up with power outlets and lights. Better price than anywhere else in Rennes.

Portugal-a shower button timed for 5 seconds. Really? Who invented this? in the end you spend more water because one of the hands is always occupied with said button, either to restart or to have it in a continuous flow. Maybe the idea is that people are annoyed and give up taking a shower? Then yes, you save water. -no towels included...I hate this new "trend" -toilet cabin is so small, I struggled in the "last" part (and i am 1,68cm) so I can only imagine tall people... - Just one tap in the bathroom for the whole floor, and yes...with another annoying short timer. -the door to the room couldn't be closed (there was a warning), but I want to believe that was a temporary issue
bunk bed had a curtain, yay! location is good staff was nice the bar part has a nice vibe and decoration

FranceThe bed are all connected and it's really quite hard to sleep because of other people moving. Also when people from the top bunk get down, the whole floor shakes and sinks. The door is really loud. The lockers could have some padding in them to make it less noisy for other guests. Also in the shower I'm aware they have to save water, but it turns of REALLY quickly
The location and staff friendly. Clean bedroom, sheets and bathroom

United StatesNot the best hostel. Too many beds in one room! people would get up in the middle of the night and wake me up. Also, the city itself is very bad, there is nothing to see. I visited multiple cities in France, and it is one of the worst uninteresting cities to visit. For your own good do research; skip this city and go some other place, spend more days in Paris, or visit Ruen, or Mont Saint Michael instead.
The place seemed clean, but nothing special.
