Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Staff were so kind and helpful - good vibes! I would definitely stay here again. The dining area was beautiful and clean. It was a real 'find' this place for the location.

The hotel is a minute away from Gare de l' est. Friendly staff at reception. Good room and a comfy bed with working shower, view over the boulevard, that was my room. Didn't have breakfast.

United KingdomThere were just 2 things we didn't like, firstly the shower in room 302 was leaking so badly my son and his girlfriend couldn't use it, I did report it to the night shift staff but nothing was done whilst we were there, this mean that we had to allow more time as they had to use our bathroom, hopefully this will be fixed before anyone else books into this room (we stayed easter weekend 4 nights). The second thing we asked for a kettle in our room, they kindly gave us coffee machine, for me this wasn't a problem as I only drink coffee. But for every one else it was a problem as they don't drink coffee trying to make tea was the problem, there was the option to go downstairs to get a tea, at a charge of €2, we did ask for a kettle whilst we were there but there was non available, so it may be wise to take a travel kettle . If the shower was fixed we would definitely stay there next time.
The staff were, very welcoming, the rooms were clean a good size and warm and quite modern, the beds were very comfortable, the shower in room 303 was brilliant maybe a bit too hot, it was quiet and we slept well. We didn't book breakfast as there was a bakery on the street at the back of the hotel with lots of delicious delights. We also had room 302 which was also a good size and comfortable this room had a fabulous view of the street, which wasn't noisy. There are lots of restaurants in the street so we were spoilt for choice, the metro is just about opposite the hotel and you can see the train station from the window, meaning that we were just minutes away from most locations in paris.there are a lot of stairs up to room 302 and 303 but there is a lift which will fit 2 people in. It is quite quick.

United States of AmericaThe floor of the elevator needs recarpeting.
This is a modest hotel, in a very convenient location - 2 minutes from the Gare de l'est with bus, train, metro and taxi right there. The room is simple but adequate. There is a nice breakfast room with a nice breakfast available. The standout is the staff. I met Virginie once and she was lovely. Lisa who was there the rest of the time was outstanding. You could not ask for a more cheerful, helpful and gracious person to help you with your stay. I am grateful to her for making the last few days of my stay in Paris a delight.

United KingdomSometimes there was no staff or they took their time to acknowledge your presence (whilst others were great). Breakfast choice is small. On the second day I was asked if I would like an omelette - I had no idea there even was the option of this. No one had said anything / nothing in writing. To be fair - breakfast was cheap, child pays half price and the sunny breakfast lounge is lovely. It would be a simple step to improve the information about breakfast.
Lovely small hotel. Spacious apartment withy a small kitchen area. Welcoming and friendly staff for the most part. Great location for us. Quiet despite central location. Very surprised - I didn't t expect such a lovely place as only a 2 star hotel.

MaltaWe had 2 nights in the hotel, everything was nice, room and linen was very clean, the hotel is located right next to metro station (really convenient!) and with shops and cafes around. But make sure that the alcohol is not sold after 5 pm in supermarkerts, because it's not sold around stations now. And the hotel is close to Gare Est/Nord :)

GermanyThe room was smelling like cigarette smoke. The bathroom sink was cloggy. As usual (in Paris) the road outside hotel was little scary during night.I don't recommend for families perhaps a good stay over place for 1 day. Not satisfied with value for money.
Location had great connectivity (1 min away Paris east station) , metro and bus station. The room was clean and comfortable. Staff were good.

GermanyEven though the breakfast as a whole was good I would have expected some slices of cheeses and fresh fruits as well.
We've got a free upgrade from double room to appartement, so please keep in mind that this review is for that appartement. It was easy to find next to the train station garre de l'est and we could leave our back packs there before the actual check-in. Which made it a lot easier to explore the city. A receptionist was around all the time. He was friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was good. We've picked this hotel especially to stay a night before we had our flight starting from CDG airport, which has a good connection.

CanadaHonestly, no complaints.
Location was great and the bedroom was clean! The cafe area is really nice and you can chill there if you want to. It's newer than I expected, I think they renovated the units recently, so had no issues at all. Comfy bed, nice shower with hot/warm water. Really easy to go to all the other areas in the city and nice patisseries and restaurants around.

AustriaFor people with very light sleep the slight noise from the street might be a problem.
Great location, especially for travelling by train (2 mins from Paris Est and Paris Nord), the room was super cozy and comfy with a typical french balcony. I also liked that checkout is at 12, so I could have a very relaxed morning :)

GermanyI didn't like the area, as a woman it's not safe in the evening to walk along the Boulevard de Strasbourg, there are many Africans in the neighborhood. It was very loud in the night, so I couldn't sleep well.
The room was clean and the bathroom was big enough. The hotel is near Gare d'Est which is very comfortable for travelling. The staff at the reception is very friendly and helpful. For a short stay it's a good option!

United States of AmericaThe room was small and bit stuffy, but clean. They also didn't have any washcloths, but neither did our hotel in London so it must be a European thing. Bed was not very comfortable it was on the hard side and small.
The staff was great and accommodating. We arrived early and my boyfriend was not feeling well, and they had a room ready for us in 30 minutes and well before check in so he could rest for a few hours before we headed to Louvre. They also accommodated our request for a late check out. They do offer breakfast but opted not to eat at the hotel.
