– Due to the nature of old building and furnishing, it's a bit more dusty than ideal – It's a bit inconvenient to take a shower in a bath without any curtains or protecting screens without splashing the water all over the place

Situated opposite the cathedral which is well worth a visit. The room was very comfortable and quiet. Sat reading and relaxing in the garden after a long journey. Superb breakfast.

The breakfast options were very limited but this is not untypical in France.

This is a charming property with spacious rooms. The courtyard is beautiful and when the cherry is fruiting you can pick your own delicious fruits. The location is perfect. Very quiet and convenient.

A magnificent historical building in the heart of the city, lovely ambiance of an old château. Beautiful garden, cosy room with a large bathroom. Warm! The hosts welcome you, tasty breakfast is served in a room with a real fireplace. Highly recommended!

This is a property full of character right near the Cathedral in Autun. It was a great base to explore the town and to wander into the countryside beyond the town.

We were lucky to park outside the accommodation! The apartment was not well lit, the rooms were well used and we were below street level. However, we did not have the room we booked with a garden view and were given an apartment as they had double booked, we felt that our room had been given to someone they knew.

The apartment we were given was spacious and we had access to a lovely garden area. The location was perfect! The breakfast was excellent and we were were not charged due to the double booking. It was an amazing place with lots of history and and the building was well loved and used by the clergy

Elegantly and tastefully furnished. A small historic hotel with easy parking, right next to the cathedral. Lovely breakfast and every kind of hot drink available whenever needed. A treat !

I highly recommend this wonderful place. The owners are unbelievably wonderful friendly and helpful, the place is so beautiful and charming. It’s like out of a movie. I am a very picky person trying to find a hotel or bed-and-breakfast and for me this was utterly perfect. This was a magical experience to stay here. The hotel sits on top of the tallest hill in Autun next to the Cathedral de Lazare, one of the oldest cathedrals in France 🇫🇷 built in the 12th century. The hotel is actually one of,the buildings that was part of the diocese and even has vestiges dating from Gallo-Roman times. The hosts are charming and welcoming and have decorated the spacious elegant rooms with antique furniture and beautiful art. The views of,Autum are breathtaking.

No shower curtain, making it very difficult to keep the bathroom around the bathtub dry. But it seems normal in France to not have one.

Amazing building, beautifully furnished (built 15th century!). It feels like living in a castle :-). Great host, lovely breakfast. Ideally located next to the Cathedral (totally quiet at night). Highly recommended. Loved Autun too!

On booking.com it gave the impression there were 2 separate bedrooms and a living room/kitchenette but in fact the 2 seating areas in the living room were also the single beds. There was no separate 2nd bedroom. The kitchenette was not well equipped so it was not easy to cook meals.

Beautiful building in a good location. The owner was very friendly and welcoming. The garden was great - somewhere to relax or dine in lovely surroundings.
