Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SpainUnderstanding the historic charm and authenticity of the property, it is completely normal that the wood floors creak. Anyone who is familiar with home construction will appreciate this is not something “wrong” but simply part of staying in a historic structure.
A fantastic experience that my family didn’t want to leave. Beautiful grounds that begins with a metal gate, stone pathways, and beautiful flowers and trees. It is full of character and a mixture of period specific antiques and modern amenities. WiFi was solid, main bath deep and comfortable, and a sauna! Kevin was a wonderful host who was warm, welcoming, and laid out a lovely breakfast for us in the morning. There is a stone walled game room with a full fooseball table and a number of games inside! There is even a hammock in the yard between two little trees. It is such a gem that I literally had to check my booking to see if I had accidentally booked a place 3x my budget.

United KingdomThere are only 2 or 3 rooms available, but the chateau is being lovingly restored out of season. But the rooms and living areas are lovely.
Kevin was so passionate about his chateau, he couldn't be more helpful.

United KingdomNothing. I wish we had booked in for longer.
The host, Kevin, was most welcoming. He is justly proud of his renovation work thus far, and showed us round the property, including the quirky chapel. The large bedroom was tastefully decorated in the french tradition, and the attached bathroom has a built in sauna as well. We used the ensuite shower room. Breakfast was comprehensive, with home made jams, local honey, fruit salad, yoghurt and an array of breads and pastries. Even boiled eggs and custard tarts were on offer.

This place is simply amazing. It is a little gem full of history. The owner really cares for his guests and constantly makes sure that you have everything you need. He was very helpful in recommending restaurants and places that are worth visiting. I am so thankful, because othwerwise, I would have missed them. Breakfast was superb, the apartment was a museum and the bathroom even had a sauna. Niort is only 10 minutes by car and you can park your vehicle on the property. The garden is magnificent to relax. This is by far the best place to stay in Niort and I 100% recommend this stunning B&B.

The host is very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Breakfast is continental with large choice and is excellent. Niort is a real surprise ands well worth a visit. A 10 min drive to the centre where there are many restaurants and bars. Our dog was made very welcome. Highly recommend. Secure parking with electric gate.

AustraliaWOW! What a surprise treasure! Kevin hosted us with such kind hospitality, in a stunningly beautiful location. The chateau and garden is superb, with huge rooms beautifully decorated and every comfort you could wish for. Breakfast was fantastic and fresh and very generous. We only stayed one night as a stopover but wish we could stay for a week. Very good value, ideal for a family stay to explore Marais Poitevin region or to stop on a cycling/walking tour.
