Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomMy taxi was incorrectly booked by reception to drive me to the airport instead of Eurostar. Had to sort a new taxi at airport to get to Eurostar.
Was able to get gluten free bread at breakfast. It was calm and not noisy at night.

United KingdomMy family and I (family of 4) cannot fault the hotel. The only negative if I'm being picky is the abandoned wreck of a building as you approach the hotel. It gives a negative first impression. Also maybe a small fridge would be the cherry on top. We didn't use the facilities so I can't give it top marks but I'm sure it's a fabulous as the rest of the hotel.
Where do I start, the hotel is the cleanest (spotless) place we've stayed on our many trips to different places in France. The staff clearly work hard to maintain the hotel. There wasn't even a single water stain on the shower glass. The beds were comfortable, the bedding was nice and soft. The room was also very spacious and smelled lovely. It was very peaceful, we couldn't hear the nearby motorway or the party happening in the restaurant. The reception staff was very friendly and helpful. There's ample free parking onsite. I could go on and on... Well done team Mercure!

United KingdomThe technology. Even though I had Netflix, Disney, Apple that I should have been able to pair my iPad/phone to the TV the support company they used didn’t work. The hotel staff couldn’t help. I call the company support line, but they couldn’t help either. This was more annoying then bad.
The room was really nice and comfortable. The breakfast was also very nice. The staff were kind of cleaning up as we got our food even though we were supposed to have 30 more minutes. They were nice and didn’t bother us but we did have to go onto carts that had already been packed up.

NetherlandsInterior of the hotel (apart from the reception and restaurant) was a little scrubby.
I choose the hotel purely based on the location as it was a convenient stop on my road trip. Plus, the hotel supposedly had a charger for my electric vehicle. The hotel is spread out widely, with long hallways to get to the rooms. Interior is what you would expect from a Mercure. Everything very basic and functional. Room was also basic but comfortable with a good bathroom. Nothing to complain about. There's a restaurant in the hotel but I choose to go to one of the eateries that are in the vicinity of the hotel. There are a few option ins the area even when its far from any city center. Probably because it is easily accessible by car. I did manage to charge my car but only after downloading and activating the Zevhyre app. It is not compatible with well know charge cards such as Shell Recharge or Plugsurfing.
