Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

The only real negative was the lack of any instructions on use the Nespresso machine, which meant that I was unable to have any coffee.
Room facilities were excellent, with loads of space, free drinks in the fridge, and a very comfortable bed. Service was also good with the bed made, drinks topped up. Transport around Paris was simple from the RER, 15 minutes walk away.

Bed too short, airco didn't work but also didn't look like it had been cleaned for over a year (mold on the inside), window next to kitchen exhaust, so causes the air to smell like a frying pan.
the location is good and lots of public transport nearby, the building is pretty accessible and the space that was available as used as best they could

Keep in mind that there is an additional regional tax to be paid in the hotel - 5 euros per night per person (there is no information about this tax on Booking, we expected to pay city tax 25 euros, with this regional tax the bill was 65 euros..). No one from the staff cleaned dirty dishes from the tables during breakfast.
Hotel is in good location, one minute walk from metro station. We had a superior room which was quite spacious compared to other hotels available in Paris.

The shower had no door or screen so the bathroom was covered in water after taking a shower. There were dirty marks on the surface around the coffee machine and not much space for a family when the pull out bed was in the place.
The staff were very friendly.

The WiFi was really poor, and there was some smell from the toilet. But, it's ok as the window can be opened. The sound proof was bad, I can hear the guest talking in the next room.
All staff is pleasant, particularly Maureen, the receptionist was very helpful, and the housekeeping lady. The hotel location is only 1 minute walks from Porte d'Olean, and many good restaurants around and as well pastries shops in the opposite of the hotel. The breakfast is decent with reasonable choices.

I only write this as i know the hotel would want the feedback. I called prior to arriving and asked for a room over the street. The chap i spoke to said no problem. I had a view of the bins 😩. The roome was awesome though.
Location, bed, the little note that the staff left for.me was awesome

I did like the room with the city view much better than the one that has courtyard view.
Not my first time in this hotel and I’ll be staying again. Spacious rooms, the staff is nice and the breakfast is awesome. Breakfast lady Samia is wonderful, caring, smiling, always keeping tables clean and getting everyone more food. Really great start of the day.

Had the most pleasant stay at this hotel and can’t find any faults. Upon checking in, the lady at reception was welcoming and friendly. Check in took less than 5 minutes. My room was exactly as advertised- perfect for solo travel and even for two people. Bed and pillows are very comfortable too. I had a room on the second floor that overlooked the main road, with a little balcony. The room is still nice and quiet. The breakfast was delicious with a nice variety. Staff are incredibly friendly (including the gentleman at reception) and helpful and go out of their way to make sure you have a pleasant stay. The hotel kept my luggage for me on the day of departure as I had a late flight. Hotel is very nicely located with the M4 train station just a short 50m walk away. I will definitely be returning
