Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaMy fist night at the hotel - it was a very strong wind outside (about 50km/h) and my door was making very loud noise, it woke me up at 2am and it was pretty scarry. It would not stop so I could not sleep - for a 5 start hotel I would expect insulation to be better and not have any noise. I was moved to another room without noise, very inconvenient to do it in the middle of the night. Being solo traveller I was terrified going to a new room in the middle of the night. It was an amazing huge 2 level apartment :) Thank you to the night staff lady for checking every room with me 🙏🙂🙈 Second night - at 3am there was a false fire alarm. It went off for several minutes and felt like ages. No announsment was made so at 1st I thought it was neighbours alarm going off. I'm glad it was false and all was okay. I had a great practice run - frantically opening up safety box, grabbing passport and dressing up fast in the middle of the night :). Skii in - hard to skii in back to the hotel as it is hard to find hotel as no visible signs to identify hotel from the slopes. It is not convenient when all you want is to skii in and rest after all day on the slopes. I had to walk up the hill twice, be picked up from random places to get back to the hotel. Please install a huge visible logo on the roof for your guests to see and light it up in neon when visibility is zero. Would have been nice to have toothbrush, tooth paste and hair tie as part of amenities as expected from 5 star hotel (I had to ask for it as I forgot mine) Cutlery and plates in room would be great It all ads up to the travelling adventures - I'm glad I'm okay- keep up the good work Pashmina team.
The hotel is lovely-cute, it has more of a home feel than a 5 star luxury hotel, which I was expecting for the price I paid. Very clean and has a new feel to it,, staff all very friendly and helpful. Big thank you to Bryan and lady from skii shop. Ski shop rental conveniently located at the hotel. Ski passes organised by hotel also very convenient. Still and sparkling water was free in room everyday. Free mandarins and walnuts, though was not refeeled. I appreciated a free shuttle the hotel provided to go to and from the town. They dropped me off and picked me up as soon as I called them. Hotel is on the heal, easy 5-10min walk to the shops, markets nearby. It is easy to ski out but not so easy to skii in. Out of 7 days I managed to skii in only twice (I'm intermediate) because is hard to find hotel off the slopes or if poor visibility day, forget it. It took me to go on Cascades lift to actully see where hotel was. Best chair lift to skii in was Plein Sud - take right and ski till you get to the very stip slope, the hotel is in the middle of it on your right so go slow not to miss it. Hotel has no visible signs to see from the mountain - it would be great if they had a big red/orange logo with lightd on the roof to see it from the slopes. Otherwise all hotels look the same and hard to find Pashmina. I enjoyed sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. Breakfast was plentiful: fresh yammy pastries, I appreciated greenery cucumbers, tomatos, salad, cheese, salami, smoked salmon, omlets and sosages, pankakes, cereals, gems...but every day it was the same. I staid 7 days and after 2nd day I was over it. Would be nice to have red caviar at least once in 7 days ;) You can drive up to hotel to drop off your luggage. My room had a balcony and nice view on the mountain and slopes. Though it did not have airing option only full door needed to be open, which is not ideal being on 1st floor. Small kettle in the room was very handy.

AustraliaThere is nothing to complain about with this hotel. There should be a warning for "first time" skiers .. the "ski in" and "ski out" is fine for intermediate and better skiers, but might frighten first timers - they can instead ask for the free shuttle service to take then down to a more sensible and easier slope.
OMG - this hotel is our favorite ski lodge that we have ever stayed in, anywhere in the world: [1] Super funky wonderfully styled suite, [2] Fantastic staff through the whole hotel, [3] Magnificent food in both restaurants and the bistro, [4] Special shout out to Jean-Michel Brunel for his care for buffet breakfasts each day (magnificent ! strongly suggest to include and pay for the breakfast !!). We stayed in a Junior suite, not a single room, and we were ridiculously comfortable and happy for our stay. The Michelin Star restaurant was available for us, without a prior booking (though I would recommend booking) - that experience was exceptional, as you would expect. Unexpected though ... was the magnificent food in the other "main" restaurant. There is very obviously carry-over from the Michelin Star restaurant. Before staying here we read reviews, and it seemed the only valid "complaint" was that it is a bit of a walk up the hill. This isn't really a concern - make sure you have a phone connection and ring the hotel and they will send a car to pick you up from wherever you are in the village. So helpful, and so convenient ... this is just one example of the extra trouble they will go to, so that you stay is perfect.

United KingdomThere were limited food choices for kids. The lunch menu was limited and did not change once. Perhaps we were early in the season. We chose to have lunch on the mountain instead. Location is very good but the ski-in is quite tricky so not for unexperienced skiers. Very narrow, steep slope and very busy. Most people had difficulties coming down that way. It made an entertaining view from the outside hot tab. Watching people trying to come down after some apres ski in La Folie Duce. Most ending up on their bottoms. The one bedroom suit was comfortable but the toilet and the bathroom were separate. Which meant you could use the toilet while someone else was in the bathroom, but there was no hand basen in the toilet which meant you still had to go to the bathroom to wash your hands. They were not next to each other, either. Apparently it's a regional thing. Makes you wonder if the French wash their hands after the toilet and do they pee in the shower. For our family it was rather inconvenient.
It is a small and very cosy hotel. It has a Michelin starred restaurant. Well trained staff. We enjoyed staying in an igloo pod one night. Very nice cocktails. The ski shop staff were very helpful.

South AfricaMy only small issue was Les Explorateurs, the Michelin star restaurant at the hotel. It is highly overpriced for what you get and the experience was lacking compared to other Michelin star restaurants I have been at. At the request of the restaurant, I provided my culinary preferences, and when we sat at the table, I was told they never received it. In addition, we had a table close to the kitchen, and it sounded like they were having a party in there - not what you want in terms of a quiet evening of fine dining.
The Pashmina is absolutely excellent. It is one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in. We had a deluxe XXL room with 2 bedrooms and a central lounge, which worked wonderfully for our family. We also had our own harman, which was a hit after a day's skiing.

ChinaThe staff go above and beyond, even when there are some mistakes make or hiccups occur you can see the difference between real 5 stars and not in how the staff are proactive in solving them and to meet and exceed guest expectations. This is the type of place you want to come back to.

United KingdomRoom in the spa is a bit limited with only a handful of loungers. I missed a sweet small treat at turndown service. I thought the extra charge for some breakfast choices was a bit unnecessary in a hotel if this category.
The service was really fantastic with a lot of very attentive, friendly and dedicated staff. The ski shop was outstanding. I loved the breakfast and appreciate the fresh orange juice at breakfast, (although you would expect it from a 5 star hotel). The room and the entire hotel is very cosy and has a very warm feel to it. The ambience at the bar is the best in Val thorens.
