The stairs to our room were not so easy to climb with our luggage.

My husband and I enjoyed the stay very much. Brenda was very kind and open and showed us around in the beautiful home and area. Many places to stay and a very nice pool. Breakfast was good and diverse.

Only two restaurants in town one required advanced booking so first night couldn’t get dinner without driving to another town.

Everything! Pool was fabulous after a hot day. Breakfast was wonderful, slept really well on comfortable beds. Environment is very cozy with lots of outdoor seating. Host very friendly and welcoming

We were disappointed with the "extras" charges to be paid on arrival. We were informed of these charges in the confirmation after booking and paying for property in advance. "Extras" amounted to a total of 68 Euro on top of an already fairly expensive 473 Euro paid in advance - making a very expensive 4-night stay for 2 people.

Nice, quirky and colourful property with agreat range of terraces, table tennis, swimming pool etc - but unfortunately the weather had turned unseasonably cool as we arrived - so not used by us. Apartment was spacious and comfortable,

WiFi didn’t work. apparently it had been down for several days and no one at the property knew how to reset the router. my suggestion to unplug it, count to 30 and plug it in again, met with a blank stare. Anyway, if you need WiFi, this is not your place. but if you don’t, then it’s quite ideal.

Nice location, excellent garden and pool, fresh breakfast and kind staff. village is quite cute although no real shops and few restaurants. good for sightseeing and hikes in the region. our room was on the top floor and it had a good bed, bathroom and airco. There was a little kitchen on the ground floor with nespresso and tea facilities.

The apartment was lovely but the only sitting area was around the dining table- no comfy chairs. That wasn’t a big issue as there are lovely places to sit around the property.

Our room was rather small for 4 people, however we new this when we booked the room. There was supposed to be AC in in the room, however is was very hot outside and seems the AC capacity was having a hard time ;-). Anyway we opened the windows fully during the night and kept them close during the day.

Great hotel in a small village. Breakfast is good with fresh coffee, juice, cheese, ham, jam, honey, yoghurt,... No dinner in the evening, but there are 3 restaurants in the village on walking distance, which are really nice. Very friendly staff at reception and breakfast ! The pool and garden area is great, nice pool and we had always a place to sit. Nice garden with cozy small sitting areas and petanque, pingpong, etc. We stayed here with our family and kids aged 17 and 18. Wonderfully decorated with many small and larger items in corners to discover.

The description read one king bed and one queen bed; however, it felt like 2 full sized beds.

Receptionist was very friendly and helpful. Loved the decorations. Close to several wineries and 3 restaurants.

Our concerns are in relation only to the apartment we occupied - Forets. In almost all areas of the venue, even to the swimming pool, the wifi was very good but because of the Forets Location in the building, the wifi was largely unusable especially with Apple devices. This was a problem for us since we had to do a lot of work in the evenings and so it meant going downstairs where the wifi was excellent but it would have been better had it been acceptable in our apartment. A simple repeater would have helped. The apartment was on the first floor with another apartment opposite and a further apartment on the second floor and the noise on the stairs was significant, especially from children running up and down the stairs and slamming doors. Our apartment faced the street (many were set away from the Main Street) and since this was an active agricultural region, the sound of vehicles in the street was significant and traffic into and out of the carport, travelling immediately beneath the bedroom, was quite noisy at times. We were surprised that there was no broom or dustpan and brush because we stayed for a week and would have done some light cleaning each day had they been available and there no cleaning utensils for the bathroom which we would, in the normal course of events have lightly cleaned each day. These things could have been provided and this would have allowed us to maintain a higher degree of cleanliness over the week. It should be said that we had a very nice time in our week but the things noted above took the edge off the week and could easily have been remedied - especially the wifi - which was essential for us and may be for others who need to work as well as taste wine.

The location is excellent and the owner is a delight. The carpark is good but can be tight, the swimming pool is great, the offered breakfast, brought to your room bang on time whatever time you nominate, is fantastic, the public areas to sit in and chill in the evening are excellent, quite private if you like or more public if you prefer, the ambience of the environment is excellent and the value for money is very reasonable. Our apartment had two air conditioners and even though they were nor really required, the fact that they were there was excellent. Many guests had bikes and the facilities to store them safely were excellent.

Not really anything negative - just be prepared to buy some basics or take with you if you plan to cook in the kitchen, there wasn't any spices/oil etc. but we didn't see it as a problem.

Very comfy beds, lots of space in the apartment and a nice outside terrace. I was positively surprised by the size of the breakfast basket, glad we ordered just for one person - it was more than enough for 2! The host Brenda was really friendly and made sure we felt welcome - including our little doggy. That's always extra points when an accommodation is truly pet friendly! The swimming pool was a really nice addition and I can definitely recommend the stay at Schriner Hüss to families with children - even though we traveled alone this time.

I have spent 32 days touring France. This was a horrible experience. please do yourself a favor and sort out the bad reviews before staying here. I have no idea how this place could be rated 4 star. They must have a lot of friends who stay there!!! This was a last minute booking for two nights. We saw the heat wave coming and we searched out a place with air conditioning. I have screen shots saying it was air conditioned. When we arrived they acted like I was an idiot for insisting on air conditioning. we were “awarded” a “big” upgrade out of the goodness of their hearts. We were made to feel obligated to them. Guess what??? This room had no air either!!! we were on the top floor where the heat was excessive and they insisted it was air conditioned and I didn’t know what I was talking about. there was absolutely so air coming out of the vents and we were told not to open windows. The next morning when I said I wanted the air fixed that day because even more heat was coming (Europe’s big heat wave) they basically called me a liar and told us we broke it!! I am 65 years old. I have traveled the world. I have never been insulted or harassed by anyone running a business that is in the hospitality business. I was threatened to be charged for breaking something that never worked to begin with. I was lied to and made to feel very uncomfortable. I was treated very rudely. when I asked specific questions I was looked at like I was an idiot. They 100% understood me but had no answers. As mentioned the breakfast is very poor. As far as calling it an apartment that’s a real joke. you can’t even use the table to sit at. There are no utensils, etc. There is a microwave and cheap coffee machine with paper cups provided. The proprietor will come back responding to this by saying horrible things about me like she has done with others that were treated the same way I have been. Please know that I am speaking the truth. I have no reason to lie.
