Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomHonestly...we loved everything...from the moment we arrived till our time to leave. Lisa and Chris could not have been more welcoming. Offering great ideas for places to eat and visit, left fans, iced water and sun creams out for the heat, making sure we were ok each day. Breakfast was a fabulous selection of fresh and tasty savouries and fresh fruit, with a glass of bubbly to celebrate the Tour de France finish, right outside the hotel! A gorgeous stone stair caes with iron banisters lead to our room that was fresh, airy, very clean and quiet with fresh towels daily if required, the shower was amazing and the bed so comfortable. Beautiful courtyard for having drinks after sundown. We can't forget Lincoln, their gorgeous dog, such a character and so friendly. Such a beautiful typically French hotel, we were absolutely in love with it and felt quite emotional to leave. Thank you so much Lisa and Chris, you made our long awaited holiday to Carcassonne, the best 💕x Highly recommended

United KingdomFrom the welcome to the departure, Chris and Lisa were a delight, warm, inviting and knowledgeable about the area, restaurants etc. Perfect hosts. Beautiful property in the centre of Carcassonne with easy parking. The room was beautifully decorated, comfy bed, air con, everything we needed. Breakfast was beautifully laid out and a delight, buffet style with choices. The property felt like a home away from home. Lovely terrace at the back of the property, enjoyed a bottle of wine after a long day out. Convenient location to the centre, an 8 min walk. Will definitely return. 10 stars if we could give.

Everything! The warm welcome, the recommendations of where to eat (my daughter is vegan) & where to visit. Breakfast was great, and very accommodating for dietary restrictions. Beautiful room with access to the courtyard which is so lovely to sit in. Everything is so well thought of. Lisa & Chris are the most wonderful, friendly hosts. We also enjoyed meeting the resident chocolate Lab, he's an adorable boy ☺️. Can't recommend this place enough. A final point, the airport pick up & drop off service is a fabulous extra this accommodation offers & helps to make the whole experience of visiting Carcassonne hassle free.

United KingdomEverything was fine
Salut BB was in a convenient place for parking as we were there at weekend and it was free. We had a very friendly welcome from Chris and Lisa with a nice glass of wine. The room was fine and spacious, breakfast was a help yourself buffet with lots of choice. A nice little garden area to relax in after a days sightseeing and a drink from the honesty bar. Not very close to the Cite and old ramparts but walkable.

United KingdomThe property is a 25 minute walk from the medieval city, which could be a drawback for some. But there are plenty of lovely restaurants close by.
A stylish house with a sheltered garden to relax in. Our room was spacious and well presented. A great shower! The hosts were so attentive and yet relaxed. They have anticipated all their guests’ needs, including a drinks fridge, ice and tea and coffee available throughout the stay. The breakfasts surpassed all our expectations- plenty of classic French pastries plus fresh fruits, yoghurt and cold meats and cheese.

United KingdomA beautiful house, with its original character maintained. Super hosts, who were both helpful and engaging. Has aircon, but despite lovely warm weather, the air moving through the house kept it comfy, so no environment destroying aircon required! Good to have for very hot weather, but lovely not to be relying on it. We stayed in the second floor of this four story over basement house, our room was spacious. Stairs were wide and comfy and not at all challenging.

IrelandThe bathroom door couldn't be locked. Still, overall, a truly excellent place with no downsides.
The room was spotlessly clean, spacious, quiet, and equipped with all the comforts. It was great to be able to control, turn on, and turn off the air conditioning. The location is excellent — you can reach the city center in just a few minutes on foot, and the castle is also easily walkable. Breakfast is truly outstanding: typical local food, generous portions, plenty of options, and everything fresh and delicious. The two owners are extremely kind, always available, and very helpful.

United KingdomSalutBB is, without doubt, the best guest house I have ever stayed in. It is in an ideal location to visit the walled city as well as the bastide below. Ample parking in large car park across the street, which you can pay for online at just 5 euros a day. The house is spacious, quaint, warm, inviting, heated, air conditioned. There is an honour bar with wines, beers, and soft drinks. Amazing breakfast included EIGHT different fresh fruits as well as cereals, breads, pastries, croissants, homemade jams, olive oil, garlic tomato for your toast, yoghurt, meats, cheeses, juices. Great, complimentary self service coffee, tea, available all day. 'The owners, a Canadian couple, couldn't have been nicer nor more helpful. They have a large rear terrace where you can enjoy a drink, snacks in comfortable chairs and sofas or enjoy a coffee and tipple after dinner in local restaurants which are all within walking distance. I can't recommend this place enough. Five stars and more. Incredible value for money.
