Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

MoroccoThe elevator was non functioning and it was hard to carry suitcases down the stares.
It's a clean hostel. The rooms were squeaky clean. The staff were helpful and very welcoming. I appreciate the fact that beds had privacy curtains and the rooms had their own sinks with very large lockers that can fit big suitcases.

FranceThe BIG negative point is the door to the room! It is impossible to open or close it without making a tremendous amount of noise however careful you are. If you get the bed near the door, you are awaken each time someone comes in or gets out. Other negative point: the locker metal cover is very noisy too.

JapanThe design of bedframe. Things can be easily dropped from the top bed. Bathroom was too far from the room. Completely opposite side of the corridor like 50m. The reception and bar floor is so noisy. It is for party people.

UkraineThere's no shower head, just a nozzle in the wall, which makes it hard to wash yourself below the waist. No kitchen. At least there is a microwave. Unless you are moving into a different room, you'll have to pay for the lockers to store your bags. Some beds don't have electricity (so no light, no way to charge your phone) and there aren't sufficient outlets in the room, other than next to the beds. Apparently, you can't stay longer than a week, which I found out when coming back at 7 a.m. and needing a long sleep...
The staff are the nicest people! The whole vibe of the hostel is wonderful. Curtains on all the beds (not just the bottom ones). The restaurant has a great lunch deal "Menu of the day" which is a full 3 course meal for less than 20€. A couple days a night they have an event when they teach you to make cocktails for free :) Direct metro line to Louvre and Père-Lachaise cemetery.

FranceThe Location!!! Honestly, I really don't like going to the 19th arrondissement because it is so out of the way from metro Paris. It takes almost the end of the 7 subway to arrive at the closest street, then, one has a long walk to the hotel. I dread it but I deal with it.
This is one of the 2 locations of this hotel of which I have stayed at both. Love the staff!!!! They are very respectful, nice, clean and helpful. They maybe busy but they will give you the time once they are free.

BrazilThey don't have a reefrigerator for the guests to use. They put a locker made of metal under the beds and it is too noisy. It's impossible to don't make noise with it and it disturbes everybody inside the room.
Location, very near to the metro and supermarket. Free drinks and other free activities at the bar everyday, at 8pm. It has an elevator.

FranceIf you need a place to store your luggage for a while before you can check in or after you check out, they have a locker room—which is super great and convenient. However, you have to pay an hourly fee, which is also fine, but I thought I was a bit on the pricey side (1.50 Eur per hour). What I thought was "outdated" was the machine where you pay and choose your locker/secret code. It only accepts coins, no card, and it does not give you change. (on the positive side, the reception desk will happily break a 5 euro or 10 euro banknote to help you make change). Also, make sure you know exactly how many hours you need to book the locker for because it won't let you top up your time to extend your locker time afterward. I learned the hard way... (5 euros later...) The other thing I didn't like, but I do understand, is that part of the hostel experience is that in dormitory-type rooms, it is normal for everyone to have their own schedule. You can't get mad at them for that or complain. Don't get me wrong, everyone was as respectful as they could. However, I had a hard time sleeping because people would sleep at a later time, and rummage through their stuff any time of the night, and it would wake me up. (Again, I could feel that they were trying to be as quiet and as respectful and considerate, but still... ). This is not a complaint; it's just to show that if you are a light sleeper and need your sleep, this is something to consider, and you must keep it in mind before you book. Or bring really good ear plugs.
This hostel is a very lively place. It has its own bar/restaurant and an outdoor patio that looks over the Canal Saint Martin. The staff is super friendly, kind, and helpful. They make you feel welcome and at home. The rooms, beds, and bathrooms/restrooms are clean. The beds have a curtain along one of the sides to give you privacy. Each bed also has two outlets so you can charge your electronics and phone, and a light. There is enough storage under the bunk beds to store and secure your belongings, such as your suitcase, bags, carry-ons, etc. Bring your own padlock or rent it from the reception area. It also has an area where you can wash and dry your clothes. The breakfast is priced reasonably, and it has a lot of options and choices.

TurkeyOne of the security guards was unnecessarily rude. The environment was a bit dangerous in terms of location.
Although there was a lot of noise downstairs and I was on the first floor, I didn't hear anything. The pension cleaning was really good. The bar area was fun and the food was good . They also allow you to lock and store your belongings in the lockers downstairs all day for 8 euros when you check out.
