A beautiful house where everyone feels like they're in a castle - the authentic furnishings and the personal approach of the owner make it even more welcoming. Can definitely recommend both for a short, and for a longer stay!

Nothing, everything good

Enjoyed my stay at this place, which is basically a guest house, with the owner living in it as well. The house definitely has a soul, the interior grabs attention in a nice way. My room was really neat, clean, with a heartfelt french atmosphere and many antique pieces, furniture and paintings. The bathroom with shower is individual, clean and works great. The room is of normal size for 1-2 people and hand luggage (wouldn’t recommend to bring big luggage as it would be uncomfortable to travel upstairs). Typical french breakfast is served in dining room on ground floor. The owner is very welcoming, helpful and gives good recommendations as for the sights, walks and restaurants. Recommend this place for getting a unique experience. Would definitely return!

Of the minor minuses - I would like more attention to cleanliness. There were also minor inconveniences with the shower: the water did not drain well. But these are rather technical trifles that are easily fixed. These moments did not spoil the impression - the general atmosphere, the beauty of the interior and the hospitality of the owner more than compensate for this.

I love houses with history - and this hotel was a real find. Antique furniture, paintings, an atmosphere of coziness and inspiration. It feels like everything was collected with love. This is not just a hotel, but a small museum where you want to look at every corner. The owner is friendly, attentive and a very interesting conversationalist. The whole stay felt not like a hotel, but like a warm, hospitable home.

Honestly, it's all great. But, you must be OK with stairs. And I will say our room has the toilet pretty much in the middle of the room, too (walled off, but just barely) so not ideal if you need more privacy from the person you're with (though the other rooms seemed more normal). Also, if you expect all the fancy modern hotel kind of amenities and atmosphere, you will be baffled that I ranked this a 10/10. This is for the people who love a charming, quirky, place with traditional character, a personable host, and a great location.

For the right kind of person, this place is kind of magical. It's charming and quirky, decorated with oddball antiques, and is in a perfect location. The views out of the windows over the town are lovely. The breakfast was a great French breakfast with excellent croissants and bread, jam, juice, really good tea, etc (and we've lived in Paris for almost 10 years, so we're snobs about this). The owner just chatted with us forever and is a character -- lots of great stories, good info, and plenty of charm himself. Our room was the top room which was perfect for mother and daughter who love quirky history: a claw-foot tub in the middle of the room (with an antique portable screen for privacy). Other rooms seemed more "normal" and modern looking in at them, but we thoroughly enjoyed our room with historic character. Couldn't have been happier there.

Such a lovely French townhouse with a super comfy room, all decorated with great taste. The location is perfect, the bed is really comfortable, and the hot water comes on quickly. There’s even a hairdryer in the room, which was super handy. The host was really friendly and helpful. He recommended great spots to eat and visit nearby, and even reminded me (since I was traveling alone) to stay safe. Breakfast was also nice and delicious. I really enjoyed my stay!

Usually, I pay by card, but in this case, I didn’t have a PayPal account, so I decided to pay in cash. I paid during the first breakfast, but on my last day, they asked me to pay again. I explained that I had already paid, and it was resolved without any issues. However, next time, make sure to have proof of payment if you pay in cash, just to avoid any misunderstandings or negative impressions with the owner.

The location is perfect - close to the beach, restaurants, and scenic cliffs. The room is clean, and I really liked the natural soap provided. The owner was very helpful and explained where to go to explore the city. They speak English, which made communication easy. Breakfast included a croissant or bread with butter and jam, yogurt, and a choice of tea, coffee, juice, or water.

I really enjoyed my stay – the host was wonderful, he explained and showed everything, recommended some cafes to visit, and the breakfast felt like a little fairy tale, everything was beautifully presented. The only small issue was that I couldn’t manage to lock the door to the room, but apart from that, everything was great. My bus was at 3 PM and checkout was at 11 AM, and the host kindly offered to let me leave my suitcase and pick it up later. I also had an unfortunate experience while walking along the shore – I went into a cave, and the tide came in. A group of us had to swim back to shore, so I ended up soaking wet. The host tried to help me, but unfortunately, I didn’t fully understand him as my English isn’t very good. I ended up changing in a restroom by the beach. This part isn’t so important, but just be careful when exploring caves near the beach. Other than that, I really enjoyed my stay – the host was absolutely lovely. Thank you so much for your warm hospitality!
