I loved everything

My favourite thing about the property was how secluded and private the garden is! The hot tub and the view from it with the fairy lights is stunning. The rooms were incredibly comfy and the log fire was something else! One of the most beautiful properties I’ve stayed at, definitely my favourite one in the UK!

The host was amazing from start to finish. From greeting us on arrival and making us feel so welcome to saying goodbye on departure whilst answering any queries throughout our stay. It gave a personal sense which you do not always get from these types of properties without being overbearing. On our arrival the fridge was stocked with everything needed for a lovely continental breakfast which was unexpected but greatly appreciated. The host dropped off a bouquet of roses for me and my boyfriend, as well as a freshly baked lemon drizzle cake which was delicious and still warm on its arrival. Everything the host did just went the extra mile and made our stay super relaxing. The property itself is also amazing, it gave off such a sense of luxury. Every room was so comfortable and we felt relaxed everywhere, each room was also very spacious. Every room was equipped to such a high standard and had everything you could possibly need and more. There has clearly been a lot of thought put into this property in, which made an absolute perfect place to stay whilst exploring the Lake District! Thanks again.

Ran out of hot water once or twice which was my fault for letting my partner jump in before me, and for being too lazy to press the boost button 😂

Stayed here for just under a week and couldn’t fault it one bit. We were greeted by Vanessa shortly after arriving who immediately made us feel so welcome. Vanessa also went out of her way to make us a beautiful lemon drizzle cake which went down a treat along with the bottle of Prosecco. Despite the weather we were still able to enjoy the jacuzzi, as well as the fireplace which made it feel like a home away from home. Although the house does have central heating which was more than enough, the fire added character to the room making it feel so much cozier. The cottage was immaculate and wasn’t shy of a single facility to accommodate us for our stay. The cottage is only a 7 minute drive away from Cockermouth town which was perfect for a spot of shopping. When we did decide to venture out Vanessa kindly provided us with a list of places to visit with breathtaking scenery. It was so lovely to have spent such a relaxing week in such a beautiful cottage and can’t wait to visit again in the near further.

There has been absolutely nothing we haven’t loved!

Everything about Ann’s Hill has been absolutely perfect! The absolutely lovely owner Vanessa met us on arrival to show us round the property and gave us so many recommendations on where to go, especially after finding out my husband and I are both foodies which was massively appreciated! The bottle of Prosecco and fresh fruit was a lovely touch and the cake she baked us was simply delicious. Aside from being a stunning cottage, this place is also a working dairy farm and my husband and I were absolutely over the moon when Vanessa allowed us to meet the calves and spend a few hours with them which has honestly been one of the highlights of our honeymoon visit! I can’t fault a single thing about this place at all. The hot tub was lovely too and to be able to relax in front of the fire afterwards each night was just the icing on the cake :)

The cottage is perfect, Vanessa has thought of everything, milk, fresh fruit, bottle of bubbly and the best lemon drizzle cake we’ve ever tasted. Items supplied for continental breakfasts, all toiletries and cleaning materials. The Christmas decorations are beautiful, a real tree 🌲

Vanessa the host met us on arrival and took us around the property. She was a lovely host, baked us a smashing cake, and made sure that we were comfortable and settled in. The property was very well appointed and clean. Everything was done to make our stay relaxing and comfortable.

We were contacted early afternoon about allergies because the host baked us an AMAZING cake! Honestly we all go to the Lake District to get outdoors but my girlfriend and I found ourselves spending a whole day enjoying the cottage with the fire and hot tub. Truly cannot say how AMAZING this place is, and the bathroom-bedroom are so elegant and comfortable. You’ll never regret booking this place.

Everything about our stay was perfect! Stunning property with beautiful views and everything we could possibly need for a luxurious break. The hot tub was amazing as was the amazing bath and beautiful decor and furniture and furnishings in every room. The most comfortable beds as well as a modern kitchen that was fully equipped for our every need.

If I said everything was perfect it won’t be enough. Super clean, extremely comfy, fully equipped, loads of books, dvds and board games for family time. Hot tub cleaned regularly and chemicals added every day. Our host Vanessa was so welcoming and sweet and very helpful. Welcomed us with a very tasty lemon drizzle cake, strawberry and a cold bottle of Prosecco. She also gave us lots of tips on where to go and activities to do. Will definitely go back

Beautiful property, just a photographed! Very private and felt homely. No expense spared, lovely property. Met with Vanessa who really is the perfect host, nothing too much trouble. We had homemade lemon drizzle in the kitchen, Prosecco in the fridge, pastries in the freezer, woke up to cereals left at the door…little touches that really made the experience extra special! Thank you so much, we will be back I’m sure. Tip for others: take your paddle boards to Crumock or Buttermere for the most beautiful scenery

As a coffee lover would have been good to have a coffee machine for our morning cuppa and the hot tub seemed a bit over chlorinated.

Good size and very comfortable with great views. some nice surprises and a few wow moments.
