We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

United KingdomTo start we arrived an hour and half after check in time and neither rooms were ready at all! We were Originally told we could leave our cases behind reception! Then they said a room was ready we could use. When we went up there it was not at all. We then had to go back to reception And after some time waiting we had two rooms which were together and were fine. The next day we used our cups and although the room was serviced the cups remained in the same place and dirty. Why we were not aware of was there was no bar On this site and would’ve had to go to the sister hotel next door which is not convenient at the end of along day . Expensive hotel for what it was, we were offered discount for the mix up of rooms
Location was excellent, beds comfortable, room and bathroom large. We had two reins next to each other for our party

United KingdomYou are working on refurbishments which is great the only thing that let down the appeal of the room 1119 was that the carpet was a bit old and has unstreched leaving creases and waves which take away from the appeal
Location was fantastic , staff were extremely friendly and verry accomadating , all front of house areas were well presented , rooms are of good size and like some places the outside noise can be abit much but thankfully that wasn't an issue here so good sleep :D

AustraliaThe aircon wasn’t working properly and they are in the process of renovating so the car park wasn’t available and they didn’t inform me when I booked. My cousin can’t walk easily so parking at their sister hotel was a slight inconvenience.
The location was awesome. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was a good.

Hotel is in a great location in Grassmarket, beside the castle. We had a good size room with a view of the castle. Staff on reception were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was tasty with plenty of choice. Service at breakfast was very good and prompt.

United KingdomThe shower wasn't the best, and could have been cleaner , hair in the shower, broken floor in the room. But was ok for the money and location. Had stayed in there other hotel which was of a higher standard to this one. We where woken my workmen unfortunately at 8 am.
The location was great and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. Checked us in early when went to drop luggage off which was a bonus.

I liked all the little touches, like face cloths, robes and slippers, all nice toiletries. The room was newly furbished and spotless clean. They had a great selection of winnings tea. The bed was super comfy too.

United KingdomThe hotel needs a little TLC. Our carpet in the room didn't meet the skirting in places, the shower door handle was broken/loose and the painwork needs updating. A makeover would make this good hotel a great hotel.
The hotel is in a great location in the centre of Grassmarket area. All Staff were pleasant and polite and with the check in and check out being quick and efficient. The breakfast is to be recommended and, again, Staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was massive with a living area as well as the bedroom and a huge bathroom. It looked out onto Grassmarket with views of the Castle

New ZealandFantastic location and parking right next door. It was quiet considering how close to the action it is. Easy walking distance. Water filters in each floor. Bed comfortable and room big enough for our group of three. We didn’t opt to have breakfast as there are so many options and a Sainsbury’s very close by.

Large comfy bed, spacious bathroom including a separate bath and shower. Even had a mirror lit well in bathroom for doing make up and one on desk in room with lamp above. Perfect location for day and night life. Would definitely recommend
