The room was absolutely lovely—so cozy, peaceful, and spotless. I had a beautiful view of the garden, which made it feel even more special. The property itself was stunning, and every detail felt so thoughtfully put together. The hosts were incredibly kind and accommodating—genuinely warm people who went out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed. Breakfast was fantastic, with high-quality ingredients and thoughtful options. I truly loved my stay and would absolutely come back.

The owners were incredibly warm and hospitable, the breakfast was delicious and thoughtfully prepared, and the rooms were both luxurious and exceptionally clean. It felt like a home away from home

    Nothing to report here.

Very friendly and informative proprietors. Told us about things to do around town, places to eat, things to see. Had lots of books about the area in the sitting room. Very nice. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choices. Lovely garden. Plenty of on-street parking.

Received a really warm welcome from Sarah. The house is beautiful and my bedroom was decorated really nicely. The bed was super comfortable. Great hot breakfast the next day with strong tea and a lovely view of the garden.

I felt the room was just a little musty… was used as single room, so maybe needed aired. Did not detract from comfortable stay and would stay there again. Maybe needs a bit of updating decor wise but pleasant enough . Minor gripe wall mounted telly too small at the distance from the bed.

Lovely breakfast spot on. Lovely hosts couldn’t have done enough for me. They also did their best when I opened an old wound (completely my fault) while showering. Also provide warm water for my travelling flask. Think the b and b prides itself on the old style hospitality.. certainly to my taste.

The water pressure in the bathroom was a bit weak. No complaints about anything else, though.

The location was excellent, just a short 5 minute walk into Penrith town centre. If you're after scenary and landscapes, there are some great walks on offer in the lake district (which is on your doorstep) and the Yorkshire Dales are nearby, too. The room was gorgeous, ver comfortable and the breakfast options were thorough and delicious!

The only thing was the hill as not good at parking uphill but the host very kindly helped me with that which was much appreciated. Thank you.

I had such a lovely stay. Felt like a home from home. The hosts were lovely and helped me with all my needs they even helped me reverse park up the hill, which I am so grateful for. Thank you for the most perfect stay and an amazing breakfast. The town is only 15 min walk away. Which isn’t too bad. The b&b is located on a hill but I didn’t mind it. Lovely cosy place to stay with lovely hosts.

I was welcomed like an old friend and shown to my beautifully furnished room. I love old furniture and my room was absolutely lovely. I stay away from home quite a lot with work and this was probably the most comfortable bed I've stayed in anywhere. Not only was the bed comfortable but the quilt was perfect and the sheets were crisp and lovely. Breakfast on the lovely old dining room was superb. Scrambled egg and salmon perfectly cooked, sitting atop lovely local bread, nicely toasted. I couldn't have asked for a better stay. I'll be back with my wife.

No issues with this property or the hosts.

This property is located a short walk (downhill) to the town centre (uphill on the return!) and a short drive from the M6 for those breaking a journey, as I was. The bedroom was well-appointed and comfortable with an attached shower room, complete with locally-made toiletries. Hosts were friendly and helpful and provided a superb freshly-cooked breakfast, including a selection of good quality local conserves, served in a lovely dining room with views over the garden and to the hills beyond. Very pleasant stay and I would use again if passing or if I wanted to be based in Penrith.

No issues, although the climb back up to hill to get to the house may be difficult for some.

Breakfast was incredible. They use a lot of local produce and ingredients and were more than happy to accommodate an earlier breakfast for my last day. The inside decor is very cottage like and cozy. Room and facilities were excellent. Although located towards the top of Penrith the location was in a good spot to explore the local beacon and forest area and it wasn't too far away from the main town center for shops, food and the bus station to get to the lakes. The family that run it are lovely and I had some great conversations with them and got advice about local hiking routes. Will stay here again if i'm in Penrith.

Bank House B and B in Penrith was great - we had a lovely stay! Sarah and Deano were fabulous hosts! Beds were comfy, breakfast was really tasty (and a great price) and the B and B was only a short way from the centre of Penrith. If we return to Penrith, we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and would recommend to other guests.

The old style single-glazed guillotine windows are a bit drafty, even for a summer night. I would suggest to try improving them, if it is not too much trouble and does not denature the room/house style. Insulating better the windows can probably save energy and money over winter time. This could be a win-win decision.

Very welcoming and professional staff. Good location near the centre of Penrith without being right in the centre. Beautiful large garden (needs a bit of tidying though! ;-) ) Very comfortable bed. Room very well equipped, even with a hair dryer and a clean bath gown!

Lovely house in a quiet area of the town. Roadside parking, walking distance into town although some people might find the return walk up the hill a bit challenging. Lovely welcome with a home-made snack and fresh milk for the tea/coffee tray in the bedroom. Very comfortable bed and good, spacious shower in bathroom. Good choice of items for breakfast - with delicious homemade granola and bread on offer. The breakfast room looks out over a lovely garden. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. I would certainly recommend this B&B.
