Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomIt's nice but a bit dated. Bed was comfortable enough but it was quite an old fashioned mattress. Bathroom was small.
Though out of the centre it was still walkable if you don't mind a walk. Staff were lovely and very helpful. All night staff on front desk. Continental breakfast included, which is especially helpful given its location and it's a plentiful spread.

United KingdomShower was weak, shower cubicle was very small. A hot breakfast would've been nice. Light switch by the side of the bed to turn the main light off would be good.
The bed was comfy, decent temperature. Good parking at the hotel.

United KingdomIt was a bus ride into the city, I didn't realise how far out the hotel was. The exterior of the front of the hotel is very dated and needs investment at a glance. It looks quite shabby until you step inside, and it's really quite nice. There were broken benches on the front decking, which either need to be fixed or removed.
The staff were lovely. Continental breakfast had a large selection of items. The interior was in keep with a period property Lidl close by, macdonalds at the top of the street. Bus stop close by and cheaper to travel than a taxi. £4 for two people from the hotel into the city. Taxi £10-£12 depending on where you want to get dropped off.

United KingdomWhen we arrived at the door we rang the bell, the receptionist left us waiting outside in the rain simply because he was dealing with another guests. He could have allowed us to enter and then simply asked us to wait. When another guest opened the door to let us in the receptionist did not greet us and never asked if we had made a reservation but rather instantly asked us to wait in the lounge area. This made us feel unwelcome and rather uncomfortable. When I raised the issue with the receptionist he tried to justify his actions by saying that he left us outside in the rain because he needed to concentrate on the other guests. I made the point that he could've let us in so that we could wait inside rather than in the rain (especially with children). Initially he wasn't apologetic which was dissapointing. The room was neat and clean but required better ventilation aside became rather stuffy and the only window was in the roof (tricky to open).
The location was great and it was very easy to get into the city centre. The lounge area with the pool table was a nice touch and comfortable area to relax.

United KingdomOn booking a customer asked if you had to pay a deposit and the answer given to them was only if ID was not bought. My ID was photographed and then the woman at the front demanded i pay £50 damage deposit. (i picked the hotel because i travel a lot for my job and if every hotel i stay at this year took £50/ £100 from me id be broke. so I always try to stay at proper, professional hotels this doesn't require a deposit.) I travelled there for work, not to have a party or go drinking or of anything else yet they take your money. The bar was right under the room and so from 4pm onwards the same bossy receptionist put the music on loud till 10pm when it got turned off. Again I work and so having to listen to an empty bar play such loud music when I'm trying to sleep is frustrating. The room was not Clean! the toilet was dirty, the table and tea and coffee tops had dried milk stains and marks on it and the bed a little worn. The hotel is full of stairs so not suitable for any one with heavy luggage or disabilities and the man and his son next door screamed and shouted and made so much noise there was no chance of peace and quite or getting an early night. The sink in the bathroom was a very bad design or fitment choice. the kettle will not fit the glass cup only just fits and if you try to wash your face or brush your teeth be prepared to accidently slam your head off it a number of times.
Good size room, Nice style / look - vintage. come with a bathroom that was not shared. Had tea and coffee, TV and hotel parking with the option of breakfast. McDonald's and shops are nearby and quite good for getting on to the motorway from there.
