Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomOverpriced for the room type for 1 night considering we didn't get complementary spa access or breakfast included.
Bed and pillows very comfortable, had a great night's sleep. Room had everything we needed for refreshments. Complementary Gin and Tonic was a lovely unexpected surprise. Showers were amazing. Quite powerful. Location perfect for our short trip. Beach front location close to local restaurants and shops. Check in and check out were easy. Staff were lovely.

United KingdomOpening the blinds revealed a window caked in black filth and spiders webs. Though isolated by secondary glazing, it was most unpleasant.
Very comfortable and well-appointed room.

United KingdomOur room was at the back of the building, so it was not the best view and could also be quite noisy with people shouting and cars beeping etc. Was not terrible but something to keep in mind.
Room was lovely, decorated really nicely, huge bed. Hotel is literally right opposite the sea. Spa was amazing, loved the underground jacuzzis.

AustraliaThe lift was a bit small and took, what seemed forever to arrive. The shower was smart looking but the floor was horrendously slippery when wet, with nothing to hang on to.
A great location and the rooms were well appointed. The small decanter of gin and bottled tonics was a nice touch.

United KingdomPersonally don’t think it’s worth the price tag. The WiFi was okay I think you would find it difficult if you needed to connect it to a laptop. You did not get any complementary toiletries. It may sound silly but I was a bit surprised you even get complementary shower and body wash at a travelodge lol. The hotel has no natural lighting and maybe it purposeful to give a relaxing vibe but personally I was not a fan our room let in no natural light and you couldn’t open a window. We did have an aircon though. The storage space in the room was minimal. A single small draw under the bed and a small wardrobe. Some small draws next to the desk and that was ur. We booked a small double and it was cosy to say the least. The shower was very claustrophobic. Tiny lift. The noise you’ve probably read about. We weren’t facing the beach but did hear a industrial fan all evening it didn’t really bother us tbh as we are quite heavy sleepers it was like a white noise machine but something to bare in mind even if you aren’t facing the beach there is still a terrible noise potentially go in to affect your sleep.
The bed was extremely comfortable. The hotel staff were amazing and so helpful. The location was fantastic and was close to everything we wanted to do and you could be on the beach in minutes. The cleaners were incredible kept our coffee, biscuits, water and tonic topped up. We had to call maintenance and he was fantastic took a total of half an hour to get everything fix. The room facilities were great having a kettle as well as the nespresso was amazing. The fridge was a really great size and kept everything cold. The gin was delicous. The restaurant and bar area was huge we didn’t eat or drink in here as it was very pricy but it took nice.

SwedenThe first room I was allocated was terrible but a friendly male receptionist gave me another very good room. The female receptionst was rude. She did not even look up when she talked to me. Suprisingly there was a bottle of free gin at the table.which might be nice for those who are in Brighton to drink and party. For others, especially families with small children, perhaps not such a good idea to leave a bottle of gin (open) on the coffetable.

United KingdomThe issue was fixed within minutes of reporting on whatsapp (the hotels main form of communication), but the water in the air cooler and fan filter were very dirty. It would have been nice to have a couple more hooks to hang up clothes because there was no wardrobe or closet space.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Any queries were answered immediately. The spa was clean and not too busy. The bed was comfortable, and the room was sufficient size for a solo traveller. My room looked out over a side street and was quiet, even though I stayed over a weekend. The bar and restaurant area was lovely and bright with comfortable seating.

United KingdomWe had a problem with the drainage with water not flowing away in the shower or sink. We did call down to reception and someone turned up to unclog it but he was very nice and did do his best with what he could at the time. He did say he could bring a plunger up but it would cause a lot of mess so we opted out as we were trying to get ready and didn't want it to be a bigger problem than what it was.

United KingdomNot much to not like. Some people might find the location too noisy, however we slept just fine with air conditioning white noise and the TV on.
Spa was fantastic! Nice, big, light room and good air conditioning. Upgraded upon arrival which was a bonus, and given a fabulous Superior Sea View room. Bed was huge! Complimentary gin and coffee was a nice touch too.
