A lovely building with a beautiful garden. The room was excellent, very comfortable and a smart bathroom. We had a delicious breakfast served by the owner who was very friendly and helpful.

All the staff were very friendly and helpful. On our arrival, Gordon told us about the local area and the different pubs and restaurants in Pitlochry. He also recommended some walking routes and tourist attractions. Accommodation was lovely. We had 4 poster room with fantastic views and good quality bedding and super mattress & pillows! Breakfast was really nice too with a good selection offered!!

Fantastic hotel with amazing staff. They were all so friendly and helpful. The rooms are modern and spotless. Breakfast was delicious and the views from the conservatory are gorgeous. Would absolutely stay again and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a great hotel in Pitlochry.

Had a great relaxing stay, the hotel is close to the town and train station. Probably the best breakfast I’ve had in a hotel, really enjoyed the quality food and was full after it. We would not hesitate to stay again, what a great sleep we had too. Many thanks to the team for a great stay.

I booked it through booking.com which said ‘per friendly’, but did not read small script that says ‘contact the owner’. always read every detail about your accommodation before booking! it turned to be ok with our wee dog 😊

The stay felt like being guests at somebody’s private house. Rooms are beautiful, equipped with everything one may need. very nice breakfast. owners are around the whole time to accommodate one’s queries.

Great for couples with a dog. Set back off the main road and easy to walk into the town of Pitlochry. In addition there were lots of local walls just out of the door so no need to use the car whilst there unless you want to take advantage of walks a little further away. The accommodation itself was very well equipped and had all the basics you might require such as toiletries and washing up things. We found it a little warm as sleep with a lighter tog duvet and getting this wasn’t a problem. Very accommodating hosts. Thanks for such a great facility.

The room was very spacious and clean. The shower was really nice. Very dog friendly. The breakfast was delicious and varied and the staff were very attentive. The location is perfect for visiting all that Pitlochry has to offer.

I've stayed at the Claymore twice now. The hosts were very welcoming and couldn't do enough to make the stay as relaxing as possible, even booking a table at a local restaurant for us. The rooms are larger than I have found normal for this type of property and the decor has clearly been well thought through. Breakfast is exceptional and served in a delightful conservatory.

The Claymore is an historic building that has been well maintained and tasteful updated. Our room was quite large a very comfortable. Breakfast was served in the conservatory and was great. It was a perfect place for our stay and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Highly recommend a stay at The Claymore.

Mattress was just a tad firm for our tastes. Everything else was delightful.

Our host was exceptionally helpful and funny in a make-you-feel-welcome way. Our view was of the front garden, filled with daffodils at this late-March time. Breakfast was wonderful in the large sunroom (welcome after some grey Scottish days). Wife says the poached egg was perfection. An easy 3 block stroll to old central Pitlochry restaurants & the train station.
