Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomTiny, tiny thing. We needed to cook and the utensils were very minimal. Wouldn't usually be a bother but maybe have a grater, tin opener and more than one pot available.
Loved the space - absolutely beautiful space. Easy check in. Need to pay for a parking permit and Dana had it sorted quickly.

United KingdomWe did have some fun with the fire alarm kicking off each time the oven door was opened when preparing our dinner….but I would rather be safe than sorry.
It was perfect for a stopover prior to a Gatwick flight. The apartment was surprisingly spacious and clean with cooking facilities at hand and the bed was comfortable

United KingdomThis bungalow is cozy and welcoming. Self checking was straightforward thanks to text/video provided. Very clean. The kitchen has some products like salt, oil (which I didn't use) alongside essential kitchenware if you want to cook. I needed a base for a working week and this accomodation was great although I couldn't enjoy much the outdoor space (garden table to relax) and indoor TV. Quiet during the night and I've had a good sleep on the mattress (it is a small double bed). Parking was just a few steps away on the roadside (free of charge overnight but the property provides £3 parking permit for the day upon request). Overall a positive stay and I definitely recommend it! Thanks

United KingdomIf you’re noise sensitive, it is located close to train tracks, so I would suggest bringing ear plugs. And if sleeping on the Sofabed, the light from the front door windows can get very bright in the morning, so I would suggest bringing an eye mask. With those two items, you’ll sleep very well as the Sofabed was incredibly comfortable.
Dana’s bungalow exceeded our expectations - it was so much nicer than the photos! Very clean, well maintained and provided things like bottled water, coffee, tea, milk, cereal etc. We will definitely be booking this property again.

United KingdomLooks newly purposed bungalow with a very comfy bed and relaxed vibe. They provided us with a big jug of milk, 3 small bottles of water and some tea and biscuits too! Kitchen was well-equipped. All the electronics were working and it was well-insulated after turning on the thermostat at our preference temp. They also helped us secure a £3 parking fee for an overnight stay. Only suggestion to add a shower mat to avoid slips/falls.

United KingdomA lamp in the living area would be a great addition as the o ly other lighting is ceiling spotlights. I'm a bit of a 'snob' when it comes to tp, I'd take my own next time as what is provided is on the cheaper side. It's close to a railway line too, fortunately no issues for me but may benefit from ear plugs if noise disturbs your sleep. Parking permit required between 8am-6pm, not needed for our stay.
A beautifully laid out, self-contained property with the addition of an outdoor seating area

United KingdomNothing.
I stayed for 3 nights as I was collecting my daughter from Gatwick airport on a Monday and decided to catch up with a few friends the weekend before. Fantastic little bungalow. Very impressed with everything. Warm, comfortable, safe and well equipped. I found the video sent to me prior to checking in especially helpful..showing the walk approaching the property, the street and what to look for when arriving either by car or on foot, where to park and how to operate the lockbox etc. Communication from the host was great and very prompt. A couple of minutes walk from the high street, there is a Waitrose 5 mins walk away and obviously very convenient for Gatwick. My only tiny criticism would be that it would be helpful to have a mirror in the bedroom as using a hairdryer was a little awkward without a mirror. Other than that, no negatives at all. Thank you Daniela for a great stay. Highly recommended.

United KingdomNo problems at all.
Very spacious, comfortable, well appointed and pristine. We were staying after a pub night but the location is also brilliant for the airport. So much better value than all the hotels with ‘Gatwick’ in their name. The local town is close and an easy walk. Strangely quiet given proximity to the airport as set to the side of the runway. So, a great place to stay for the airport or any other reason

FranceIt would be nice to have a table to eat dinner, but the big comfy couch takes all the space.
It's a cute bungalow in Horley, tidy and clean. Clearly built by a professional as the fittings, bathroom, lighting, are nicely done. The owner was helpful and responsive. Horley and its area doesn't have a lot of appartements for families, and it's the perfect size for me.

IndiaI had a fantastic stay at this property. The location is perfect, especially for those traveling through Gatwick Airport, with easy access to transport. The accommodation itself was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything needed for a relaxing stay. One of the standout aspects of my visit was the flexibility offered when it came to checkout. Due to unexpected circumstances, I needed a later checkout, and the host was kind enough to accommodate this request, which made my travel plans much smoother. Overall, this is a great place for anyone looking for a comfortable, convenient, and flexible stay near Gatwick. I highly recommend it and would definitely return in the future.
