For the price I feel the rooms are a little bit run down.

Room was nice, beds were comfortable. We used the in house restaurant and the pool/sauna. The food was delicious in the bar and the service was good. Drinks were served in decent glasses.

Being told our room was not ready (which we expected as we arrived early) but then offered the opportunity to pay for an upgrade and we could have instant access! Due to the time of our visit, we already knew the hotel was at less than 25% capacity and rooms were obviously available as we were directed to the lounge to wait - then 10 minutes later our room was miraculously available!! Really no need to push guests to feel they must upgrade the minute they arrive after a 5 hour journey! We had several issues with the room (lovely and spacious) but the TV and bedside lights were faulty. Reported more than once and never got repaired. No evening turn downs or bathroom items replenished. Air con was never sorted as it had a mind of its own!

We have been repeat guests several times a year since the hotel opened. Spacious, modern but warm and welcoming. Excellent breakfast as always. Ideal location and easy access into the town. Our favourite hotel. Great concierge team.

The beds were too firm for our personal preference, but that's not the fault of the hotel. In hindsight, we should have asked for a mattress pillow topper, which may have resolved our comfort issues.

We felt so well looked after. The guest services and food were second to none. We felt like we received a warm family welcome from the moment we pulled up at the door. Florian was the first to greet us, assisting with unloading our luggage to the trolley and sorting the valet parking of our car. From there, check-in was a breeze. Having got our room keys, arriving at our room with Florian's guidance and assistance was delightful. He unloaded our luggage to the room, offering a luggage rack if we required one, and pointed out some features of our room to ensure our stay was comfortable and without any complications. He took particular care to point out to our son where all of the tech charging points were. He left us with a feeling of genuine care. The welcoming box of chocolates was delightful with its golf theme and tasty. Due to a motorcycle accident in August, I needed an accessible room for showering. The accessible bathroom still felt luxurious rather than utilitarian. My wife and son still felt pampered with the facilities.

The room was too hot and unfortunately quite dusty, from a hotel if this standard I was surprised to find dust on the lamp and headboard and a bottle cap under the table from a previous occupant

The views are lovely. The room very comfortable. The staff extremely helpful

The pillows were flat and of poor quality. Definitely not what one would expect in a 5 * hotel. The duvet cover on one of the beds was marked when we arrived. It looked like a heat mark from the laundry but should have been picked up by staff and changed. The spa is a little outdated. The relaxation room especially.

The staff, the excellent concierge travel into the town, the St Andrew’s Grill overlooking the sea.

Double beds are tiny very cramped sleep almost falling out bed.. pillows look very big but once head on went very flat so had to ask for other type no issue. .for the price you pay more in Room complimentary snacks / drinks in fridge would be nice touch. As 2 bottles of water and 2 biscuits for 4 people ? A Cpls of juices for kids and maybe a couple of cans would be nice thought. As everything was chargeable big shame.. I think the 10% surcharge on everything you buy or do is an awful thing this should t be added it should be discretionary.. you buy a drink the price is on list then this is added it should be I operated in the price to begin with. We bought a few drink then got more so that was 3 lots of % added.. very sneaky. The breakfast was the biggest downfall very disappointing .. not replenished quick enough you wait for beans and the rest of the food gets cold.. the bacon was all stuck together greasy and hot plate on at one side.. beans only thing that were hot if you got some. Sausages really poor quality brown one side pale on other.. black pudding very greasy and eggs wow swimming in oil.. I got one made fresh so many undercooked eggs in pan of oil she took right out pan no draining and tried to put it onto my plate grease dripping from it.. beans covered in oil.. potato scone defo deep fried hard in middle and all tan coloured n dry feeling so defo deep fried . For a 5 star hotel I expected a lot more from breaky. We asked the man for boiled eggs he said I don’t have any he was dealing with 3 stations instead of saying I’ll put it on.. so my partner went up and asked and he put them on right away . Price of food is way over the top. They don’t advertise chips on menu but kids eating them I asked for some for kids to snack as nothing really on snack Menu at night for them lichen was closed but for a small bowl they were £9. Wow.. so we had to go to Aldi local to get sandwiches n pasta dishes for evening snacks..

Room size was great and bathroom was fabulous lovely toiletries.. nice fluffy clean towels.. staff great for breakfast head he was fab form leven. Concierge were great. Bar staff a little slow but ok. Could do with bigger beds in big room.

We normally stay between 7 and 9 nights, it would be convenient if we can choose when to have the bedding changed, ie leave a card sign for the cleaner.

This is our third time staying at the hotel since May 2023, the staff has been very friendly as always, we have noticed the overall service level has been further improved this time.
