Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Great communication with the host to be able to book in early as attending an event. Friendly man and very helpful on arrival and departure. We were on the top floor with a few flights of stairs but not a problem for us. The room was extremely clean and bed comfortable. Tea, coffee, sugar and bottled water in the room. Bathroom spotless and plenty of towels. Great to have free parking too. Very quiet location so good night's sleep. Would stay again

Bedroom a little too small with it being a loft room. Couldn't get used to the height of room but it was fine for one night.
Nice comfortable bed, great location. Lovely welcome from the host. Modern shower room.

Well this is just a personal thing, the transparent shatters on the ceiling makes the room too bright as early as 6am in the morning, so perhaps the host should mount a window blinds for guests who may prefer a covered shutter/window instead of a transparent one.
The ambience of the room was really nice. The host was so welcoming and kind.

Stuart the host was very friendly.. The room is a little on the small but has everything you need for a short stay.. The bed was extremely comfy and everything was spotlessly clean.. great location, good value for money, would stay here again.. 😊

I can not complain about anything.
The bed was extremely comfortable. The pictures of this property do not actually do it justice. It was very warm and cosy. Very clean. And also in a perfect location for southport.

Absolutely stunning Apartment and immaculately clean. Lovely owners and very friendly and nice to talk too! Parking was perfect as well. Only one point I would make is that the room is a loft conversion, as advertised, but the ceiling is quite low, which is not an issue at all only an observation, as I have not stayed in a loft conversion before and did not realise how low the ceilings were. Definitely not a criticism at all, as the room & bathroom areas are stunning. Would definitely 100% stay there again...loved every minute of it.

The stairs may be a problem for people with mobility issues though it was OK for me. The room is an attic room so the ceiling is sloping with a velux window. Those who are very sensitive to noise like me may want to take ear plugs in case of heavy rain beating on the window.
Handy but quiet location in residential street, 5 minutes' walk from the town centre. Clean and modern with decent wet-room type bathroom and plenty of hot water. Very helpful and attentive host. Good value for money and met all my needs.

Having to leave.
The host was super friendly and let us check in early which was much appreciated. I really like how cosy this place was. Really nicely decorated and had everything u might need. The bed was so comfy. I had a really good night sleep. The place was so clean and had a separate modern bathroom with shower. It was really good value and if I'm ever back in Southport I'd be staying here. The ceiling are low at one end of the room but didn't bother me.

The ceilings in the bedroom are incredibly low and angled, so it may not be the best choice if you are tall or have back problems!
Had a lovely, albeit short stay. Bed was very comfortable, everything was clean and host was friendly and welcoming. Very good value for money, I would be happy to book again :)
