Now, if you're not a fan of our eight-legged buddies, you might want to brace yourself a bit—there were a few spiders hanging around. But hey, it’s a cabin; I figured a spider or two was part of the package deal!

I recently stayed at this cabin, and let me tell you, the location is fantastic! Sure, there are a few other cabins nearby, but it still feels private enough that I could pretend I was the king of my own little woodland empire. The cabin has this cozy, rugged vibe that makes you feel right at home. It comes with a fridge and a cooker, so no need to survive on granola bars unless that’s your thing. Plus, the hot shower? Absolute game-changer! After a day of hiking, nothing beats rinsing off the outdoorsy smell. And I have to give a shout-out to Richard. Seriously, the guy is a legend and a true gentleman! He really goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is great. I’ve already decided that I’ll be coming back for round two. Can’t wait!

secluded, quiet, a break from the stressors of everyday living. This little cabin became a den of peace for myself, the hub, cat and dog. We had one of the best nights sleep we have had in a long while, and I mean there was no modern interruptions, just us, nature and a bloody good bed. There was times I missed using a hair dryer or a kettle, but then I got over it and played a board game with my family, we talked and listened to each other and planned our walks around the area! Our dog loves dotty too, so did our cat! It was lovely to wake up, open the door and have a little waggy butt dalmatian staring at you. 10/10 for dotty! Wood and fire lighting stuff is available in your room too and a quaint little radio/vinyl player too. You could just hide away in the den, but you must explore the area! South Brent is a great starting point for Dartmoor walks, we did 22 miles the first day there and it was beautiful! Book in now, recharge your batteries. You won't regret it.

U need to drive carefully to find it, otherwise easy to miss it.

Walking into a hunter cottage and imagine we're going to hunt. We really like the decorations. The stove makes room very hot, so even in winter you'll be warm and cozy there. Cooking and shower is very convenient. Try the CD player, very vintage style. Very private place, nothing outside the window but nature.

The location and cabin was perfection for a blissful retreat. Decor was lovely and well thought out.. and the view was simply stunning. Everything you needed is there and the host kindly left some rolos on the bedside cabinet and some milk in the fridge. My wife found that very touching..well worth the trip.. we will be back to experience the other eco-cabins... Top job Richard and Donna

The advert stated that there was a swimming pool, however on arrival the welcome pack stated that it was a swimming pond. This is a booking.com error. If we had known it was a swimming pond and not a pool, we would have stayed somewhere else and the main reason for the booking was the pool.

Beautiful veiws, loved the area and the cabin was beautiful. The dogs loved it. Would recommend for a peaceful time away. Richard was lovely and really helpful with the knowledge of the area.

Not a problem for me but be warned you will need to carry your things slightly uphill across the field so pack lightly but it's more than worth the walk!

Foxes Den is a wonderful retreat from the world with simply stunning views and sunsets set in a huge grassy meadow with sprinklings of bluebells, scatterings of wild flowers and low brambles for the wild deer to nibble on. Secluded and cosy in it's corner of the field with lots of privacy from the other 2 cabins/lodges on the far side. The cabin is spotlessly clean with fully working cooker hot water electricity etc. Loving the Foxy touches of decor with paintings, Foxy mugs, cushions and bedlinen not to mention the lovely old teddy bear! The cabin is roomy and comfortable and really well insulated and once I got the little log burner chuntering away I was more than toasty warm for the evening. I let it die down after 11pm and was warm through the night and didn't need it in the morning retaining enough background warmth until I left for the day. Definitely not damp or musty just a lovely earthy woody smell that you would expect from such a naturally built structure in it's wild surroundings. The bed absolutely huge and comfy. The noise from the A38 nearby is only really significant outside but once inside hardly noticeable and especially not when playing CD's on the old style music player or listening to the radio. Richard and his partner so lovely and helpful providing extra wood and even a couple of plasters for my blister! Yes there is a phone mast directly behind the cabin but not noticeable once in or near the cabin and I certainly didn't feel any parts of my brain fizzing and slept really well! Suggest bring own torch and soft soled slippers as the floor is a little cold plus fave CD''s. Natural pool just a little too murky for me but Dotty the Dalmatian delightful. Overall they have created something really special here and I loved my visit and will return.

The cabin provides everything you’d need for a short stay whilst retaining the secluded charm and aesthetic that you’d want from such a stay, with tasteful decoration in keeping with the theme, a log burner, kitchen and plumbing etc. any issues are tended to in a timely manner and the support from the host is unbeatable. The views from the cabin over Dartmoor are excellent, I’ll certainly be staying again!

We were shocked on arrival as the cabin sits directly underneath a huge telephone mast ! None of this was explained About the property and I would not have booked Knowing this ! Very disappointed to have to stay underneath a telephone mast which I should imagine is not recommended for health reasons !

The cabin was rustic and had great views
